Notes on the types of memory cardthat you can use (sold separately)
The following memory cards are compatiblewith this camera: “Memory Stick PRO Duo”media, “Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo”media, “Memory Stick Duo” media, SDmemory card and SDHC memory card.MultiMediaCard cannot be used.A memory card with a capacity up to 32GBhave been confirmed to operate properly withthe camera.In this manual, the term “Memory Stick Duo”media is used to refer to “Memory Stick PRODuo” media, “Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo”media and “Memory Stick Duo” media.
On “Memory Stick Duo” media

Notes on the battery pack 
Charge the battery pack (supplied) before usingthe camera for the first time.You can charge the battery pack even if it is notcompletely discharged. In addition, even if thebattery pack is not fully charged, you can use thepartially charged capacity of the battery pack asis.If you do not intend to use the battery pack for along time, use up the existing charge andremove it from the camera, then store it in acool, dry place. This is to maintain the batterypack functions.For details on the usable battery pack, seepage123.
Notes on the LCD screen and lens
The LCD screen is manufactured usingextremely high-precision technology so over99.99% of the pixels are operational foreffective use. However, some tiny black and/orbright dots (white, red, blue or green) mayappear on the LCD screen. These dots are anormal result of the manufacturing process anddo not affect the recording.Exposing the LCD screen or the lens to directsunlight for long periods may causemalfunctions. Be careful when placing thecamera near a window or outdoors.Do not press against the LCD screen. The screenmay be discolored and that may cause amalfunction.Images may trail across on the LCD screen in acold location. This is not a malfunction.Be careful not to bump the movable lens, and becareful not to apply force to it.
Note when playing movies on otherdevices
This camera utilizes MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 MainProfile to record movies. Therefore, moviesrecorded using this camera cannot be played ondevices that do not support MPEG-4 AVC/H.264.
