Thank you for purchasing a RadioShack Low-Cost 3-in-1Remote.Your remote lets you controlupto threehome entertainmentdevices with one easy-to-use,compact unit.After installing batteries (seenext section), you canimmediatelyusetheRadioShack Low-Cost3-in-1Remotetocontrol anRCATV, VCR, and Satellitereceiver. To control other brands, perform theinstructions in “Programming a Device”. For bestresults, please read andperform allthe remaininginstructions. Also, keepthis guide for futurereference.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Your RadioShack Low-Cost 3-in-1 Remoterequirestwo(2)AAbatteries (not supplied).
Battery Use And Safety
Use onlyfresh batteries of the required size andrecommended type.Do not mix old and new batteries, differenttypesof batteries (that is, standard, alkaline, orrechargeable), or rechargeablebatteries of differentcapacities.If you donot plan to use the remotefor anextendedperiod,removethebatteries.Theycanleak chemicalsthat candestroyelectronicparts.
WARNING:
Disposeof old batteries promptly andproperly. Do notburn or bury them.
To Install Batteries:
1.Openthe batterycompartmentcover(locatedonthe back of the remote).2.Place the AA batteries in the compartment andmatchthe+and-polarity symbolsinside.3.Replace thecover.
NOTE:
Whenthe RadioShack Low-Cost3-in-1 Remotestops operating properly, replace the batteries within10 minutes (to protect theprogramminginformation).

TheRadioShack Low-Cost3-in-1 Remotecomes pre-programmed to operate an RCATV, VCR, DVD, andSatellite receiver. To controldevices other thandefaultbrands, follow these steps; otherwise, skip thissection.Beforeproceeding, find thecodes for the devices youwant to program in Manufacturer's Codes and writethem downor highlight them.
NOTE:
To program a TV/DVD, TV/VCR/DVD, or TV/VCR Combo, use the

USING CHANNEL SCAN

to start a three-secondscan of allfavoritechannels (if programmed; see “ProgrammingFavoriteChannelScan”) or allchannels (ifFavoriteChannel Scan is notprogrammed).1.Press a devicemode key.2.Press

CHANGING VOLUME LOCK 
TheRadioShack Low-Cost 3-in-1Remote comespresetto allow independent volumecontrol of eachselected device (GlobalVolume Unlock).However,you may change the Volume Lock setting to GlobalVolumeLocksothat one device'svolumewill controlvolume in all other modes. After that, you canperform Individual VolumeUnlock ona selecteddevice to set its volume control for independentoperation.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM:
LED does not blink when you press a key.
SOLUTION:
Replace batteries with two (2) new AAalkaline batteries.
PROBLEM:
LED blinks when you press a key, butdevicedoes not respond.
SOLUTION:
Makesure theremoteis aimed at yourdeviceandisnotmorethan 15 feetaway.
PROBLEM:
LED blinks one longblink.
SOLUTION:
An entry error has occurred(for example,wrongkey). Try entry sequenceagain.
PROBLEM:
Remotedoes not control devices orcommands are notworking properly.
SOLUTION:
Try alllisted codes for the device.Makesure the deviceoperates with an infrared remotecontrol.
PROBLEM: CH+
