Experience in comprehensive downtown revitalization programs; media production management,including print, broadcast, electronic, and digital production; print and electronic publicationproduction management.
A comprehensive knowledge of all forms of communications production, including PSAs, book andbrochure publication in both print and electronic formats, web-based programming, and audio andvisual programming.
Ability to establish lines of communication among all levels of organization, from executive toassociation members.
Demonstrated ability to build community and corporate relationships and promotionalpartnerships beneficial to all participants.
Demonstrated participation in professional affiliate organizations. Ability to present institutionalinterests to those outside the organization in a professional and compelling manner.
Knowledgeable about the various uses of audience databases for research and direct marketingpurposes, and prior direct experience in information collection, retrieval and communication.
Demonstrated knowledge of emerging communications technologies. Knowledgeable about thefield of downtown revitalization, consumer behavior, and areas of market research.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement customer-focused strategic marketing plans utilizinga variety of marketing communications media.
Experience in the strategic development of audience-based comprehensive communications andmarketing plans for organizations or events required.
Knowledge and experience with corporate citizenship including in-kind philanthropic andcommunity service, and direct program sponsorship, provided by the corporate community.
Documented success in working with all forms of communications media to promote and advocatespecific areas, programs, and/or events.
Experience in developing compelling marketing messages and coordinating marketing campaignsin strategically combined media.
Direct experience in publication production including brochures, pamphlets, books and manuals fordiverse audiences, in other aspects of graphic design and production; in the development of comprehensive and coordinated media plans for advertising and targeted editorial coverage, in allcommunications media formats.
Valid Ohio driver’s license.
Ability to train and motivate volunteer staff.
Working knowledge of personal computers and software; knowledge of financial software; specificknowledge of Microsoft Word and QuickBooks is desirable.
Ability to accurately record and maintain records.
Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with councils, partners, City personnel, andthe public.
