RECRUITMENT IN CLERICAL CADRE- 2010

GUIDELINES

The Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank Ltd., a 104 year old Bank and one amongst the leading top
three Urban Co-operative Banks in the country is hiring talented and aspiring individuals for the
clerical cadre.

Eligible candidates are advised to apply online between 25.11.2010 to 18.12.2010 (inclusive of both
days) only through the bank’s website after carefully going through the instructions contained in this
advertisement. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

1. Important Dates

Opening date of Online Registration Gateway 25.11.2010

Closing date of Online Registration Gateway 18.12.2010

Date of Written Examination 23.01.2011

Candidates are advised to download call letters for appearing in the written test from the
website by entering their registration number and password which will be generated at the
time of applying online.

2. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications Graduate/Post Graduate of a recognized University with
minimum 45% marks and adequate knowledge of computer
application.
Age Limit
30 years for graduates / post graduates / double graduates
(eligibility as on 18.12.2010)

3. Application Fee Details (Non refundable)

Application fee: Rs. 350/-

4. How to apply

Eligible candidates have to apply online through the Bank’s website only. No other
means/ mode of application are acceptable. Before registering their applications on the
website, candidates should possess the following:

(i) An e-mail id which shall be valid for the duration of the recruitment process. In case
the candidate does not have a valid e-mail id, he/ she has to create a new email id
before applying online.

(ii) Application Fees can be remitted through SVC Bank or any other Banks (through
NEFT). The details of the account to which fee to be remitted is as follows:

Candidates have to ensure that the above details are obtained from their Bank.

For SVC Bank Customers:

The exam fee can be paid from your account in our Bank. Please contact your
branch for details.

(iii) The payment towards recruitment application fees can be made from 25.11.2010
onwards, but before the close of business hours on 18.12.2010. Even if the Bank
extends the last date of registration of online applications due to technical reasons,
the valid dates during which the payment should be made as indicated above will not
be changed.

(iv) After remitting the application fee, logon to our Bank’s website www.svcbank.com
and follow the link Careers. Then click “Recruitment in Clerical Cadre – 2010”.
Then click “apply online”. An online application will open. Fill up all the details
required in the application and click “Submit” available at the bottom of the online
application and the online application will be registered. A Registration Number and
Password will appear on the screen. Kindly note this information for future use.
Candidates are required to take a printout of the online application using the above
registration number and password. The printout of application form is required to
be submitted at the time of interview.

(v) Candidates are required to bring the following to the examination centre:
1. Print out of Call Letter (which can be downloaded by the candidate using
the registration number and password obtained at the time of registration of
online application). A recent passport size photograph has to be affixed on
the system generated call letter.
2. Original Counterfoil of application fee
Without the above mentioned documents the candidate will not be admitted for the
written examination.

5. Candidates will have to appear for written test to be conducted by the Bank. The successful
candidates will be called for an interview. Subject to their being medically fit for
employment, the selected candidates will be initially appointed as trainees and
subsequently on probation. The Bank reserves the right to reject any application without
assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

6. The Bank will conduct the written test at Pune & Mumbai. The candidate has to select his
choice of venue in the application form. Any request for change of centre for written test/
interview shall NOT be entertained.

7. An application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the application fee once
paid will NOT BE refunded on any account nor would be held in reserve for any future
examination or selection. The application fee shall also NOT BE refunded in case the
application is rejected / not considered by the Bank.

8. The Bank takes no responsibility for any delay in submission of online applications or
communication. Candidates in their own interest are advised to ensure that payment
through NEFT has been successfully remitted as per above instructions and submit the
online applications well before the last date.

9. Candidates are advised to ensure that they are eligible on the parameters of qualifications
and age as prescribed above. In case the candidates do not fulfill the prescribed eligibility
criteria, they may be disqualified at any stage of the recruitment process.
