Looking for a grant. For a fully automated 100 megawatt per year production line for solar panels.

I have applied for a Gov.Grant for producing solar collecting panels for electric on new and existing buildings.The structure for these panels are already in place on 80% of the buildings already built. It is a proven technology. The manufacturing of, and installation of these panels will put am infinite number of people to work. The Grant will not be awarded untill July? The requirements of the Grant is that the product makes a significante change in solar use in 2 to 6 years? What are we waiting for!!! If we want to solve the Jobs and Renewable Energy Problem we need to spend the Tarp money to get these Grans and program going NOW not in July or 2 to 6 years from now!!

if you are talking about made in america, do you mean the whole part or assembled in america. it is not the same. dont care if it puts people in other countries out of business. am concern about america being put out of business. dont make it overseas for hardly nothing and send it back here and charge me a lot of money for something that should have been made here. at least if i have to pay a lot of money it goes to americaaaaans. and am tired of paying for illegals. my t axes are for americans. daley can support them all out of his pocket. since he made chgo at safe haven for them. come to american the way our ancestors did. legally about time something is being done about enery crises. we all know it should have been done long ago. but big oil co. would lose to much money. so it was squished. lets see if obama can put his money where his mouth is.

Let me guess, You had to wait until the solar panels on your house built up enough of a charge to fire up that laptop of yours...

Your double talk and ignorant asertions coupled with the rampant stupidity in washington should get you a well deserved position in the Obamanation's cabinet if he becomes president.

Saying that "the technology exists TODAY to "harness" the sun and "gather" the winds to supply the energy we need to run our homes and cars" could very well get you say... a position as "Minister of Bullshit" in the Messiah's cabinet.

And of course displaying the inteligence of a rock, would allow you to fit right in.

The ignorance and rage reflected in these comments barely warrant response other than to say, they are wrong, one needs to look into what is being accomplished in the private sector before running off at the mouth and engaging in unnecessary name-calling, hasty generalizations and errors laced throughout rage-filled comments. Such wrath reveals exactly what keeps this country from achieving its highest potential. Luckily, forward thinking leaders in both the public and private sectors won't be disuaded by people like the nay-sayers who would rather hold us back and down than move ahead. Government can't and won't solve the energy problem alone, the consumers and private sector initiative will. Recall, the government had computers long before any individual lap tops but it wasn't until a little known individual (Gates) fulfilled a private sector initiative that we all reaped the benefits. People like Burt Gummer may be slow to get it but, the world continues to turn and with it so too do the minds, hearts and innovations of mankind.

Since the "technology exists today" why don't you idiots saddle up in all the solar and wind planes and cars you can find to conduct you campaign with going forward? Refuse to use anything which may run on or contain that dreaded OIL derivative!! That ought to be good for a laugh!

Fact-- the technology exists TODAY to "harness" the sun and "gather" the winds to supply the energy we need to run our homes and cars while resting control of our energy from utility barons and placing it in the hands of the people. What a democratic notion. Read, for example, Re-Energizing America: A Common Sense Approach to Achieving U.S. Energy Independence in Our Generation (www.re-energizingamerica.com). FACT those heavily invested in oil prefer the average "joe" (or at least JDOE 113 -below) be left in the dark so their personal fortunes grow at our expense. Fact-- Its "freak[ing] moron[ic]" to try the same oil/gas based solutions to the problem and expect a different result. It is time to restore American ingenuity and innovation and Obama is just the guy to do it.

Solar has been around for at least 30 years, wind for hundreds of years, if they haven't figured out yet how to harness these two then we need to continue to rely on OIL and Natural Gas until the breakthroughs happen. Just a fact, which the Obots and their Hope and Change won't fix.
