CROWDSOURCING
CROWDSOURCING: The act of outsourcing tasks, traditionally performed by an employee to a largegroup of people or community (a crowd), through anopen call for action. Jeff Howe coined the term inJune 2006 explaining that because technologicaladvances have allowed for cheap consumerelectronics, the gap between professionals andamateurs has been diminished.
