I reach down with both hands and pull as hard as I can on the seatbelt, I can feel the strap cutting into my hands but I am unable to stop pulling. I fear my life is going to be over. I am scared that the next few seconds will be my last. “We’re not going to make it.” I tell myself.----------On June 28th 2002 I was the victim of a plane crash. During those initial days of horror I dug deep, fought hard, and willed myself to live. With faith and determination I slowly returned to work with permanent physical impairment. The mental and emotional damage was too much for me to handle. For several years I tried to cope with the demons from that crash. The systems in place to protect me, and help me had all let me down. Emotionally drained I could not handle the world anymore. Once Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and depression, I was given the tools needed to repair my broken mind. Accepting the crash for what it was, would be the start of an emotional journey from victim to survivor. Trevor Wolf
