A podcast (or non-streamed webcast) is a series of digital media files (either audio or video)that are released episodically and often downloaded through web syndication. The wordusurped webcast in common vernacular, due to rising popularity of the iPod and the innovationof web feeds.
Suggested Grade Level: 7/8 Timeframe: 8-10 hours Group Size: 2 Prerequisite Skills:
Each student should bring some of these skills to their group:
Ability to perform basic computer skills including using a word processing program, usingthe Internet for research and understanding acceptable and safe use of the Internet.
The ability to properly design and draw scaled representations of their proposed solutions 
Meets the following BBT Grade 7-8 Curriculum Outcomes
1. Students will apply the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and responsible operation of equipment and resources2. Students will apply positive, safe and ethical behaviors when using ICT3. Students will understand of the influence of technology as it relates to self, work and society4. Students will investigate, design, produce and evaluate technological solutions5.  The student communicate effectively by designing, developing, publishing, and presentingmultimedia and online products
 Student Tasks:
 1.  Determine group roles and responsibilities.2.  Create a Journal using Google Docs3.  Complete the Podcasting Activities as described in the module 
Students will work in small groups throughout the assigned tasks.  Journalingactivities will be individual and group based reflections.  The journal will provide a forum forstudent to present information, ask questions, discuss solutions, provide reflection on theactivities that the group members complete.
Student will be assessed on the activities that they complete.  Major componentsin this evaluation will be their group work, individual work, and journaling
