The Prophecy

By: Elijah Cooper

I didn’t know what, but something shot into me, then my

spirit swished out of my body and started freezing the sun for
about five seconds, which made the snow from winter turn into
shining crystals. Just as my spirit flowed back into my body, a
person appeared on a giant flower and grabbed me with vines.
The person took me up into the air and we headed off.

“Where are we going? And who are you?” I said. A voice

answered, but it wasn’t low or high, just in the middle. It
turned out that it was a girl. I couldn’t see her face because it
was covered up with a mask of vines. She took off the vine
mask and I saw a girl with brown hair and blue eyes. She said,
“My name if Rose. Of course, you are Eli. And this is where
we’re going.”

Suddenly she tossed a ball of vines. It exploded and a

portal appeared. Out of the portal, I heard a very low voice
that sounded greasy and sweaty. Its breath poured out of the
portal and smelled like a gym teacher on a hot summer day.
We went inside the portal and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
There, in front of me, was a troll...oh, wait…maybe it was a
giant…wait…I don’t know, it was some kind of troll-giant
mixture.

I looked over to my right and saw a giant kingdom. On the

sides were people who looked poor, in the olden days they
were known as peasants. They were all bowing down to me
for some reason, as if I was some sort of king. Suddenly, Rose
released me from the vines and I started to fall. As soon as I
thought I would plummet to my death, a giant hand swooped
under me and caught me. “Thanks,” I said, not knowing who it
was. The giant hand lifted me up to its face and there I saw the
giant-troll, that I call “Foreman”. The reason that I called him
that, was because he was way stronger than four men. When
he opened his mouth and shot out his morning breath, I
thought I was going to faint. It was so disgusting, I can’t even
explain. He said to me, “All Hail to the one who shall save our
kingdom”.

He sat me down where all the peasants bowed down to me.

I said, “What…I’m not supposed to save any kingdom today,
that’s in my never to do list.”

Then Foreman said, “You know not of the prophecy which

you have been chosen for?”
“No, I don’t,” I said.

Foreman said, “Here, let me show you,” as he reached out

with his giant, sweaty, green hand. Then he took me to a
smaller castle that was about twenty-five feet tall. He set me
inside the castle, and I saw a picture carved into the wall that
looked like some ancient Egypt dudes had carved it. I looked at
one person in the picture. It looked sort of familiar. You know,
the familiar kind of feeling that you have when you look in the
mirror. He was fighting off something in the air that looked
something like a dragon, except it was much bigger and much
scarier.

I said, “OK,” slowly as I was backing up. The giant’s hand

swooped me back up and set me down in front of a large group
of peasants. Suddenly, I heard a giant roar.

Foreman said, “That has to be the dragon”.

“Wait, I’m not ready!” I shouted.

“Sure, you are, you were born for this, you’re our only
chance,” he said.

“We’ll help you and defeat the dragon together,” added

Rose.
“OK, I’ll do it.” I said with confidence.

Foreman set down a horse next to me and told me to get on

its back. Then he ran off toward the dragon and Rose jumped
on to a giant flower. So I jumped on my horse and headed off.
Finely I reached the beast, pulled out a bow and arrow from
thin air like I was a wizard and shot it right at the dragon’s face.

I could see the arrow pierce into the dragon’s skin, but
nothing happened. Foremen said, “He has found out his true
powers” now we can’t loose no mater what! I shot up into the
air some how and landed on the dragon’s back, ran to it’s head
turned around and shot fire onto it’s wings making it fall to it’s
death.

Right when I was going to fall to my death, vines wrapped

around me and set me gently on the ground. All the peasants
yelled my name, “Eli the mighty wizard!” “

I said, “Shall we have a feast?”

“Yeah,” all the peasants yelled.

As I was about to stuff my self vines wrapped around me,

and the next thing I knew I was in my room that looked as blue
as always.
As Rose was about to leave, I said, “Will I ever see you
again?”

“Call my sister Daisy, you’re going to like her,” said Rose. As

she took off, a petal came floating to my window with a phone
number on it.

“I have to write all this down,” I said.

CHAPTER 2
I lay open-eyed on my pure blue bed. Wow. I thought. All I
could think of was about was the amazing adventure that I just
had.

HHHH… Suddenly I woke-up in the palace. Right then I

knew that the prophecy was not over.
