ESTIMADOS DIRECTIVOS Y PROFESORES, ESTIMADOS

PADRES Y APODERADOS, QUERIDOS JOVENES
EGRESADOS, ESTIMADOS INVITADOS ESPECIALES,
SEÑORAS Y SEÑORES, MUY BUENAS NOCHES.
ESTE GIMNASIO, SIRVE DE ESPLENDOROSO
MARCO PARA DARLES A USTEDES JÓVENES QUE
RECIBEN SU LICENCIA DE EDUCACIÓN MEDIA,
NUESTRO SALUDO MÁS FRATERNO, DESPUÉS DE
CUATRO AÑOS DE ESFUERZO EN LA DURA TAREA QUE
SIGNIFICA FORJARSE SU PROPIO PORVENIR, SIN
OLVIDAR JAMÁS, QUE LO AUTÉNTICO, NACE DEL
ESPÍRITU Y SE DESPLIEGA SEGÚN SEA LA CALIDAD DE
NUESTRO ESFUERZO.

SU PORVENIR EN ESTE CRISOL DE PERSONALIDADES
QUE ES EL ANTOFAGASTA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.

MUCHAS VECES HA SIDO VUESTRA PRESENCIA LA
QUE NOS HA TRAÍDO PAZ INTERIOR YA QUE EN
VARIAS OPORTUNIDADES CON UNA ACTITUD
RESPETUOSA O UNA AMABLE SONRISA, HICIERON
OLVIDAR NUESTROS PROPIOS PROBLEMAS. HEMOS
COMPARTIDO PUES, MUCHAS HORAS. OJALÁ QUE ESE
RECUERDO NO SE BORRE; PORQUE ES DIFÍCIL
RENUNCIAR A LAS VIVENCIAS QUE VAN
CONSTITUYENDO NUESTRA VIDA; EL HOMBRE VIVE DE
RECUERDOS Y TAMBIÉN DE FUTURO Y SON
RECUERDOS IMPERECEDEROS LOS QUE EVITARÁN
QUE VUESTRAS AULAS SE ESFUMEN EN EL OLVIDO.
COBRA AÚN MÁS RELEVANCIA NUESTRO
COLEGIO, VUESTRO COLEGIO, POR CUANTO SU
PROGRESO ACADÉMICO SE VA ACRECENTANDO CADA

ORGULLO HA DE CONSTITUIR PARA USTEDES LAS
ANTIGUAS INFRAESTRUCTURAS, QUE HA CONOCIDO
DE SUS SUEÑOS JUVENILES Y QUE AHORA EN UN
NUEVO ESPACIO, REMOZADA Y RENOVADA EN LO
FÍSICO, SEGUIRÁ MANTENIENDO INALTERABLE EL
ESPÍRITU INNEGABLE DE VERDADERA COMUNIDAD.
LOS INVITAMOS A UNIRSE EN EL FUTURO, A
COMPARTIR CON NOSOTROS Y A SENTIRSE
PARTÍCIPES DE LA NUEVA REALIDAD HISTÓRICA.
ESTIMADOS EGRESADOS, ESTÁN PRONTO A
INICIAR UNA NUEVA ETAPA EN SUS VIDAS, TENEMOS
LA CONVICCIÓN QUE HAN SIDO PREPARADOS

NOSOTROS LOS ADULTOS.
EL ANTIGUO MODELO DE EGRESAR DEL COLEGIO,
ESTUDIAR UNA CARRERA TRADICIONAL Y DE ESTA
FORMA CREER ASEGURAR EL FUTURO, YA NO ESTÁN
VÁLIDO.
ES COMÚN ENCONTRARSE –HOY- CON OFERTAS
DE TRABAJO EN LOS QUE SE REQUIERE
PROFESIONALES CON LIDERAZGO, INICIATIVA,
EMPATÍA, CAPACIDAD DE REALIZAR TRABAJO EN
EQUIPO, DOMINIO DEL INGLÉS HABLADO Y ESCRITO,
ETC.
EN CONSECUENCIA ¿QUÉ PODEMOS HACER COMO
SOCIEDAD Y COLEGIO? FORMAR EMPRENDEDORES,
JÓVENES DISPUESTOS A ASUMIR RIESGOS, CON ALTA

TOLERANCIA AL FRACASO, CON INICIATIVA, PRO-
ACTIVOS, RESPONSABLES Y CREATIVOS. EN
DEFINITIVA, DOTARLOS DE LAS HERRAMIENTAS QUE
PERMITAN HACERLOS PROTAGONISTAS DE SU PROPIO
PROYECTO VITAL. Y CREEMOS QUE COMO COLEGIO-
ESA MISIÓN - LA CUMPLIMOS A CABALIDAD.
PERO NO OLVIDEN QUE EL OBJETIVO AUTÉNTICO
DE TODA EDUCACION ES EL DE ORIENTAR AL SER
HUMANO HACIA UNA EXISTENCIA FÉLIZ .ESTA NOBLE
TAREA NO DEBE SOMETERSE A LA DEMANDA DE UN
SISTEMA O AL SOLO IMPERATIVO DE PRODUCIR
PROFESIONALES Y EMPLEADOS QUE SOLO GENEREN
GANANCIAS PARA LAS CORPORACIONES O COMPAÑIAS
.LA RAZÓN FUNDAMENTAL DE LA EDUCACION DEBE
SER EL SER HUMANO, Y SU META IRRENUNCIABLE ,LA
DICHA DE LAS PERSONAS.
EL VERDADERO PROCESO EDUCATIVO CONSISTE
EN LA FORMACIÓN DE LA PERSONALIDAD DEL
EDUCANDO, A TRAVÉS DE LA INSPIRACIÓN QUE UNA
PERSONA –EL PROFESOR- PUEDE BRINDAR A OTRO
CON EL EJEMPLO DE SUS PROPIAS CUALIDADES
HUMANAS.
CUANDO UN PROFESOR ALBERGA UNA GRAN
PASIÓN POR LA VERDAD Y ACOMPAÑA AL ESTUDIANTE
EN SU BÚSQUEDA ,INFUNDE NATURALMENTE EL
DESEO DE APRENDER….Y USTEDES SUPIERON
APRENDER Y HOY LOGRAN EXITOSAMENTE UNA ETAPA
IMPORTANTE EN SUS VIDAS.
QUERIDOS JÓVENES, LOS CONVOCAMOS A QUE
SEPAN VIVIR AUTÉNTICAMENTE Y LE OTORGUEN

STUDENT’S GRADUATION SPEECH

 Good evening dear AIS Principal, coordinators; teachers;
parents and guardians; special guests; relatives, friends; and
last but not least my dear classmates.

Today, we have come to the end of a stage, and it sounds like

a song that is ending or a bubble that is bursting, or like a
flower that is being born. It is hard for me to say these final
words. Because right now, my soul is torn as I recall every
gesture and every song we have shared.
When I look at my classmates’ faces, I can actually see a
mixture of emotions that bring tears to the sensitive ones or
quiet smiles to the ones who are not.

I would like you to bring back that image deep inside our
memories, the one where we dreamt of being adults when we
were just kids. That image was filled with illusions and fairy
tales, with innocent games and a passionate heart. Who could
have imagined that this moment came to us this fast?

Years ago, many of us arrived at this school to start Seventh

Grade. We were already big kids! New schedules, new
uniforms, new teachers and new ideas filled our heads. At the

same time, our bodies started changing and we were not fully
aware of that transformation.
Our talents and skills were beginning to show: our own tastes,
our own opinions, and our very own personalities began
taking form and made us different from each other. And one
day we were in High School. New changes, new classmates
and new challenges filled our days.
Today, we are gathered here to write a final ending to a
beautiful story. Our story. We can actually feel a mixture of joy
and sadness. On one hand, we feel joy since we have
reached our goal. But, on the other hand, we are sad because
we have to say goodbye to some dear friends.

This is just another step on the path of our lives and I am sure
most of us are filled with mixed feelings. Thousands of
memories come to our minds from all the moments we have
lived in our dear school.
We experienced difficult situations which far from pulling us
apart, made us stand strong and enriched our young souls.
We want to thank some special people. First, our teachers.
We could not be here tonight without their hard-work, efforts
and noble dedication. They not only carried out their
honorable mission in teaching us but they also were there
when we needed them most. They always gave us a helping
hand or offered a word of wisdom to guide us in the path of
our education.

Second, we would like to thank our parents for their love and
support. We love you dearly and we could not have made it
without you.

We want you to remember us as young people: full of life and
joy. We have always tried to enjoy our lives to the fullest. We
know we made mistakes along the way and we know we will
make some more. Please, forgive us because we are still
learning. We just want to experience new sensations but we
have never forgotten what is right and what is wrong and we
have tried not to cross certain limits.

We just did not fully understand the consequences of our

actions since we were just following our ideals. Our immaturity
made us commit mistakes but we were always anxious to live
life with all its beauty and dangers. One thing is clear: we
never meant to hurt the people around us.

However, we want you to remember us as good, young

people. At times, we are a little bit immature but we have
clear values and clear goals. We have always put our values
and our education first and that still prevails.

Anyway, it is really hard to tell what each one of us is feeling

right now. The happiness we feel for having completed
another stage of our lives is totally opposite to our sadness.
We know we will go separate ways and now it is up to us to
forge our destiny.
I can only leave you with a final message: A new world: the
real world is opening its gates for us.
Let’s be brave enough to take the first step to cross into the
hew world that waits for us.

DISCURSO LICENCIATURA IV MEDIO ANTOFAGASTA

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.

Estimados Directivos; profesores; padres y apoderados;

invitados especiales; familiares y amigos; queridos
compañeras y compañeros, muy buenas noches.
Una etapa que llega a su fin, una canción que termina, una
burbuja que estalla, una flor que nace! Qué difícil es
pronunciar estas frases!.
Y más ahora, justo en el momento en que mí corazón se
encoje con cada gesto simbólico, con cada canción e, incluso
cuando miro el rostro de alguna compañera y veo en él
sensaciones y emociones que hacen estallar en lágrimas a
los más sensibles, o sonreír en silencio a los más
reservados.
Me gustaría que desempolváramos de nuestra memoria esa
imagen de adultos que soñábamos ser cuando éramos
niños ,moldeada con ilusiones y cuentos de hadas ,con
juegos inocentes y un corazón puro ¿Quién iba a pensar que
éste momento llegaría tan rápido?.

Varios de nosotros llegamos a séptimo básico! Ya éramos
niños grandes¡. Horarios nuevos, uniforme nuevo, profesores
nuevos, curso nuevo, ideas nuevas que rondaban en la
cabeza, y un cuerpo que ya comenzaba a transformarse.
Los talentos ya comenzaban a mostrarse: los gustos, las
opiniones, las personalidades se moldeaban y nos
diferenciaban. Y, por fin, llegamos a la enseñanza media
.Nuevos cambios. Nuevos compañeros y compañeras.
Hoy nos corresponde finalizar esta hermosa historia. Se
respira una mezcla de alegría y tristeza. Alegría, porque
después de ésta larga etapa de esfuerzos hemos alcanzado
la ansiada meta.
Es un escalón más en nuestras vidas, nos embargan
innumerables sentimientos y se vienen a nuestra memoria
miles de recuerdos relacionados con todo lo que vivimos en
nuestro querido colegio.
Al igual existieron circunstancias complejas que más que
derribarnos, nos hicieron levantarnos con mayor fuerza y
robustecer aún más nuestros jóvenes espíritus.
Todo esto no hubiera sido posible sin el esforzado trabajo y
dedicación de todos nuestros profesores ,que no solo
cumplieron con su noble misión de enseñar sino que siempre
cuando los necesitamos estuvieron allí, en el lugar indicado
dispuestos darnos la mano o una palabra de aliento ,que en
ese momento fue de gran ayuda.
A nuestros padres y familiares, le decimos que los queremos
mucho, agradecemos todo lo que han realizados por
nosotros, sin ustedes no estaríamos aquí.
Es de esperar que nos recuerden como jóvenes llenos de
vida y alegrías, que siempre disfrutamos al máximo la vida,

siendo en ciertos modos impulsivos, no sólo por el hecho de
serlo sino por la necesidad de sentir situaciones nuevas, sin
dejar a un lado la razón y procurando no traspasar los límites,
que algunas veces no comprendíamos debido al idealismo e
inmadurez propia de nuestra edad.

Cometimos errores, que en muchos casos fueron producto de

esta ansiedad por vivir intensamente la vida, pero que de
ningún modo tuvieron la intención de herir o dañar a las
personas.
Sin embargo queremos que nos recuerden, principalmente
como personas de bien, un poco inmaduras pero que siempre
hicieron prevalecer sus valores, principios y enseñanzas ante
todo.
En fin, cuesta tanto resumir lo que sentimos en estos
momentos, en donde la felicidad de superar una nueva y
exitosa etapa de nuestras vidas se contradice con la tristeza
de tener que separarnos y forjar cada uno su propio destino.
Un nuevo mundo, el verdadero mundo nos abre sus puertas.

DISCURSO DEL PROFESOR JEFE

María Ignacia, Oscar, Juan Manuel, Alexandra, Ignacio,
Cristian, Valeria, Karen, Simón, Diego, Javiera,
Valentina Patricia, Francisca, Macarena, Felipe
Roberto, Victoria, Valentina Alejandra, Luis Carlos,
Yael.
Mis queridos alumnos, hoy quisiera aprovechar la
oportunidad para compartir algunas ideas y
reflexionarlas. Tal vez pueden llegar a ser repetitivas,
pero en el fondo se constituyeron en la parte más
importante de nuestro proyecto de jefatura.
Nuestro proyecto estuvo basado en lo sabiduría
que suele tener la naturaleza para enseñar a las
personas.
Años atrás cuando iniciábamos nuestro caminar,
les contaba una experiencia de los gansos que en la
temporada pronta a recibir el invierno los gansos
emigraban hacia lugares más cálidos para pasar el
invierno, y observábamos que volaban en forma de V,
y la razón es porque la bandada entera cuando
volaba aumentaba su capacidad del vuelo en un 70%

más de lo que demora el vuelo de un pájaro que lo
hace solitariamente. Aquello nos permitió visualizar
que cuándo compartimos la misma dirección, los
mismos objetivos, como los que teníamos el colegio,
el sentido de caminar, estar en grupo nos permitía
llegar más rápido y fácilmente al destino porque
cuando nos ayudamos entre nosotros los logros eran
ciertamente mejores, más placentero para la tarea de
alcanzar la meta.
Vimos que cuando el ganso líder se cansaba se
traslada al fin de la formación mientras otro asumía la
delantera, lo que nos mostraba que el compartir el
liderazgo, el respetarnos mutuamente en todo
momento, compartiendo los problemas y los trabajos
más difíciles, los éxitos ya que se reunían nuestras
habilidades, capacidades, dones, talentos y recursos
que poseíamos individualmente.
Escuchábamos que cuando los gansos volaban
lo hacían graznando con el objetivo de darse coraje y
aliento a aquellos que iban al frente liderando.
Graznaban para que mantuvieran la velocidad, el
ánimo y fuerza. Hecho que nos enseñó que cuando
en el grupo hay aliento, motivación y estímulos, las
fuerzas se redoblan y es por eso que nunca bajamos
la guardia para querer ser mejores.
Observábamos que cuando en este vuelo un
ganso se enfermaba, estaba herido o cansado, por lo
que debía salir de la formación, otros gansos salían de
la formación para ayudarlo y para protegerlo, y
permanecían con él hasta que muriera o fuera capaz
de recuperarse y nuevamente integrarse a la

bandada. Creo la solidaridad fue un objetivo para
hacerla crecer en nuestras personas además de lo
académico.
Acto que nos enseñó que estando unidos uno al
lado del otro, pese a la diferencias tanto en los
momentos de dificultades como en los momentos de
esfuerzo, podíamos salir adelante, porque sentíamos
el acompañamiento de que alguien nos apoyaba.
Ciertamente en cada uno de este episodios,
hemos aprendido a mantenernos uno al lado del otro
acompañándonos, haciendo realidad el espíritu de
equipo curso, pese a las diferencias, hemos
conformado un grupo humano para enfrentar todo
tipo de situaciones que hoy y que probablemente
mañana cuando continuemos enfrentando nuestro
proyecto de vida. Porque hemos entendido que el
verdadero valor de la amistad, porque hemos hecho
consciencia el sentimiento de compartir.
Estoy seguro mis queridas y queridos gansitos
que en su futuro la vida será más agradable, vuestro
nuevo vuelo que hoy emprendeis en búsqueda de
nuevos horizontes será mucho más placentero.
Hasta hoy hemos hecho un vuelo que nos permite
continuar con optimismo, con fe, con esperanza que
en este vuelo u otros, a lo mejor diferentes, pero
siempre con un sentido de que hemos aprendido a
volar. Buen vuelo, mis queridos jóvenes, mis queridos
gansitos. Les quiero mucho.
