Nativity Finger Puppets
by Paula Nelson-Hart

Step by Step:

1. Print a copy of the Nativity template.

2. If printing black and white, color each figure.
3. Using Purple Cows Smart Trimmer and Freestyle Mouse, cut out each figure.
4. Glue figures to cardstock and cut out again leaving a narrow border of cardstock around the drawing.
Try using different colors for each puppet.
5. Place each cardstock puppet in a hot pocket. I used a large pocket and placed all my little puppets in
one--just make sure you leave some space in between each puppet.
6. Send those cute little guys through the laminator.
7. Using the Freestyle Mouse, cut out each puppet, leaving a scant border of lamination around the bor-
der for a good seal.
8. To make these into puppets you can glue a loop of elastic to the back,or try making a loop (cylinder)
of cardstock. Cut cardstock strips 1” x 3”. Glue the right side of one short edge of the strip to the center
back of a puppet an 1/8” from the bottom edge. Roll the strip into a circle and glue the opposite short
edge overlapping the edge just glued to create a loop. These also work well with popsicle sticks for
holders.
Have fun!!
