October ,2010Subject: TRAINING AND EXAMINATION SYLLABUS FOR ISSUE OFAEROPLANE & HELICOPTER PILO LICENCES
1. INTRODUCTIONSections B, F, J, K, ,M, N, O and P of Schedule II of the Aircraft Rules, 1937stipulate, amongst other requirements, that for issuance of Student Pilot’sLicense (SPL), Private Pilot’s License (PPL), Commercial Pilot’s License(CPL), Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL) and Instrument Rating (IR)for Aeroplanes and Helicopters, the applicant shall have to pass an oraland/or written examination as per the syllabus prescribed by the DGCA.This CAR lays down the main topics of the syllabus for ground training andexamination for issuance of the licenses for helicopters, as required underclause 1 of sections B, F, J, K, ,M, N, O and P of Schedule II. The provisionsof this CAR must be read in conjunction with schedule II of the aircraft Rules1937. This CAR is issued under rule 133A.2. GROUND TRAINING/ EXAMINATION OF AEROPLANE PILOT LICENCES2.1 Schedule and Syllabus for examination for issue of Student Pilot’s LicenseforAeroplanes [SPL] is given in Section 1 at page 3.2.2. Schedule and Syllabus for examination for issue of Private Pilot’s License forAeroplanes [PPL] is given in Section 1 from page 4-16.2.3. Schedule and Syllabus for examination for issue of Commercial Pilot’sLicense forAeroplanes [CPL] is given in Section 1 from page 17-40.
