Fair Isle wool mittens
I was making these for someone but my mom saw them and fell in love with them. They're made from five colors, two or three being used at once for each pattern within the Fair Isle, so it adds another layer or two of warmth to the mittens.

arn: Wool of the Andes  Worsted by Knitpicks (110 yds ea.) 5 balls, 1 in each of the followingcolors: Grass, Pumpkin, Pomegranate, Onyx Heather, Amethyst Heather

Stitch holder, scrap yarn, or extra circular needle for thumb

Crochet hook or tapestry needle for weaving in threads
