 Author of
GIDEON’S WAR
Dear Reader:For the past twenty-fve years, I’ve written and produced several hundred episodeso television. In a amously fckle business, I have somehow managed to work onseveral series that have enjoyed ratings success and critical acclaim. I know how lucky I’ve been. Writing a novel has been a dream I’ve been carrying around since childhood, butsomewhere along the way, I allowed that dream to expire. There were a ew alsestarts, but I ound mysel abandoning them, usually because o commitments to whatever television show I was working on at the time. When the Writers Guild went on strike in 2007, production on
 24
was suspended, and I ound mysel with lots o time and no excuses. I fnally had my chance. Witha little help rom some very patient and supportive people, I am happy to reportthat I fnally managed to reach the fnish line.To everyone who made publishing
Gideon’s War
possible, and especially to my prospective readers, I am orever grateul.Thanks—
Howard Gordon
