Opening Times
Summer (1 April-30 September)
Our properties are open seven days aweek, Monday to Sunday from 9.30amto 5.30pm.
Winter (1 October-31 March)
 Some of our properties close.For our other properties, normalopening times are 9.30am to 4.30pmunless stated otherwise on the entry.All our properties close on ChristmasDay and Boxing Day. Please telephoneto check for New Year opening.Some properties have special openingtimes shown against their entry.We sell the last ticket 30 minutesbefore the property closes and 45minutes before closing at Edinburgh,Stirling and Urquhart castles, FortGeorge, Skara Brae, Dumbarton Castleand Linlithgow Palace.Some of the smaller monuments mayclose for a short period over lunch.Please telephone the site to check.Properties that are run by organisationsin partnership with Historic Scotlandmay not offer Members of HistoricScotland retail discounts.

 Admission Prices
Admission prices are for the period1 April 2010-31 March 2011. Pricesmay vary for major events. There isno concession rate for students. Theconcession rate applies to visitors aged60 and over and the unemployed.Children under five admitted free.

All childrenmust be accompanied by an adult.Under fives go free.
Quality assurance:
Visitor facilitiesat Historic Scotland properties areinspected by VisitScotland and gradedon a five-star scale. Properties are alsoassessed under the Green TourismBusiness Scheme which rewards carefor the environment with a Bronze,Silver or Gold award.
