Overview
DCWEEK is a week long festival in the US capital focused on bringing
together designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and social innovators of all kinds. Its a series of 100s of distributed events powered by the community and complemented by core conferences, parties, and projects created by the festival organizers iStrategyLabs and Tech Cocktail. DCWEEK 2010 was assembled in 3.5 months and drew 6,000 attendees from around the world. This year were planning on 10,000+. DCWEEK is a time to:
learn from others through sessions, keynotes, workshops and panels meet new friends, clients, partners, investors and collaborators come together to support innovative businesses, people and ideas work on projects that benefit the DC, America and the world experiment with whats possible have fun at some great parties

DCWEEK Badges
Access to DCWEEK events will be administered through a tiered badging system. All Bronze Badges will have access to free keynotes (via a required RSVP), workshops and community events. A limited number of Silver, Gold and Patron badges are available to access the open and closing parties, Tech Cocktail, and the conference. We are currently programming a series of keynotes the evening of November 9th -- they will take place at the Warner Theater. Capacity is for 2000 attendees. The theme is The Future of Mobility where mobility speaks to both mobile applications and their impact on innovation, as well as how we use transportation in new ways to grow the economy/ develop sustainable modes of transportation. The RSVP and keynoters will be announced in early October.

Our most active day during the festival will be during our conference on November 10th. We have secured the Artisphere, including 11 separate rooms of varying capacities where we will program nearly 50 sessions for participants. The total capacity is 2000 attendees.

It is a magnificent, brand new facility that can hold nearly 2000 attendees. Activations will include: -Performing artists (Music, Dance, Live Art Creation) -Interactive installations (digital graffiti, photo booths, touch displays) -A 24 Hour City project showcase highlighting what they build during DCWEEK The open bar party will start at 8pm and will wrap by 1am.

As if parties, keynotes, conferences and sessions all across the city werent enough to keep you engaged during DCWEEK, the DCWEEK Projects platform features numerous things you can do during the festival. Whether it be building a web app, teaching a class, or providing pro-bono consulting to a non-profit, there are may ways for you to put your talents to work for your community. In 2010, over 200 events were created and hosted by DCWEEK attendees. All you need is a conference room/venue and something interesting to convene about and well add it to the festival calendar.
