Course description
Reading III is intended to meet the need of students who are at advanced reading classes. It is
emphasis on development of reading skills for academic purposes. This course directs student’s
attention to their own reading process. It covers extensive reading, reading fiction and nonfiction
text, and comprehension reading skills.

Course goals
To revise and extend the students’ awareness of their own reading in order to develop their
ability to formulate and articulate their ideas more precisely and acquire new ways of talking and
thinking about a text in the context of academic reading.

Course requirements
I provide this course to the students by using technology to communicate both students and
lecturer. It is due to space obstacle. This means that the class will require email account for all
students to send or receive course materials and the lecturer wait for student’s feedback. To do
so, the students have to consider:
1. Email.
Make sure you have email account, e.g yahoo, ymail,or gmail. This is a vital requirement
since it can be used to receive course material from the lecturer and send your feedback
to the lecturer.
2. Presence.
You should sign the attendance list from Ketua Kelas as your presence evidence to
STAIN Watampone. However, you requirement for your presence evidence to the
lecturer is by sending your feedback email to the lecturer every week. I will send you
feedback form within every meeting or week. For example, week one, Introduction to
Extensive Reading, you are going to read some texts, do group activity, and answer
questions. After doing the instructions then I will send you a fill form via your email as a
feedback. Then, you need to put ticks and send back to me. Your feedback is your
presence in my attendance list.
3. Class participation.
Work in pairs and group of three or four if you are required in instructions. Become an
active participant in your own learning!
4. Midterm
5. Final examination
6. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact me at my email address or YM
(andi_yaurie). I also provide discussion room in yahoogroups.
