    PROCESS FOR APPROVING FENCE SEGMENTS:

    How are segments cleared?

    Once a fence segment is determined as constructible, decision is submitted to C2, who


    will then sign off on the decision.

    Who notifies the CoE?

    The CoE will make a request for funding and will draft congressional notification.
    The notification is sent to SBI to then be forwarded to the Hill.

    ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS:

    Process begins with the determination of constructability?


    -Determined from cost, schedule, and operational effectiveness data?
    -Agreed upon by SBI, CBP, and USACE?

    Decision is cleared by (b) , and then sent to C2?

    CoE’s request for funding is submitted to which agency/department?

    When is the NTP-C sent? Is it sent to CoE? Is it sent from SBI?

    If there is a contractor performing the construction, is the funding request handled any
    differently?
