Yarn
Yarns are available in a variety o weights. Weight reers to the thickness o the strandand ber contents. Yarn comes in either a long center-pull skein or a ball. The weight othe skein or ball and the total yardage is determined by the weight o the strand o yarn. There are six standard yarn weight groups determined by the Crat Yarn Council oAmerica, and the weights are denoted with a number and symbol.Keep the ball bands rom yarn to use as reerence. Pin the band to the gauge swatchand keep them both together with any remaining yarn rom the project. Also includespare buttons and any extra trim used in the project, and tuck everything in a labeledzip-close plastic bag. This way, you'll be able to check the washing instructions o theyarn, and you'll always have extra materials on hand or repairs.
