Dr Zernik has gained substantial experience in recent years in analyzing fraud in the electronic recordsof the state and US courts and prisons. His opinions on these matters were supported by official reportof the UN Human Rights Council, by the opinions of highly reputed law enforcement and computerscience experts, and by peer-review in international computer and criminology journals and conferences.Submission he authored on behalf of Human Rights Alert (NGO) for the Universal Periodic Review(UPR) of Human Rights in the United States by the Human Rights Council of the United Nations wasincorporated into the official 2010 UPR report with reference to “corruption of the courts and the legalprofession…”

The underlying case questioned the US Armed Services policy of ‘Don’t Ask,Don’t Tell’. Dr Zernik’s Motion never took a position on the matter, but questioned validity of the US DistrictCourt’s records in the case, and asked the US Court of Appeals to issue declaratory mandates pertaining to theimplementationof the US district courts public online access and case management systems (PACER and
CM/ECF). [

· April 2010 – Report filed as part of the first ever 2010 UPR (Universal Periodic Review) of Human Rightsin the United States, pertaining to Human Rights in Los Angeles County, California. The report wasincorporated into the staff report of the Human rights Council of the United Nations with a reference to"corruption of the courts and the legal profession and discrimination by law enforcement in California". ]· August 2010 – Report published in a peer-reviewed computer science journal, with an Editorial Board listingscholars from six European nations and Canada, opining fraud in the case management systems and onlinepublic access systems of the Los Angeles County jails (Inmate Information Center) - enabling large-scale falseimprisonments under the pretense of lawfulness. century writers.With it, the author gained a unique place in Middle-Eastern literature – recognized by both Israel and Palestineas part of their shared Modern literaryheritage, and in 2010, the first English language critical review volumededicated to Shami was published. [
