I am happy to present our 4th edition of the Nammo BULLETIN.We want the Nammo BULLETIN to be a short and brief status aboutthe ongoing technology developments in our Group.
Our 2004 edition described some important steps to meet the future needsfrom our customers. The 2006 edition will try to follow up some of these, andwe also want to describe a few new and interesting technologies as well asprocesses that we are working on.“PEOPLE make the difference”, is a statement in our last Annual Report of2005. The wording genuinely reflects our thoughts. Without enthusiasticpeople and high educational level on scientists and engineers we wouldnever been able to develop and specialise our product portfolio as we do ittoday.Changing structures and continous improvements with focus on internal pro-cesses is a daily challenge of both our national as well as for some of our inter-national customers. They have less resource and reduced capacity to handle bothexisting programmes and new acquisitions. This situation will require that wethink and act differently than we did in the past.Nammo is continuously developing state-of-the-art technology in ammunitionand rocket propulsion together with our industrial partners. This is necessaryin order to be a key partner for the Defence Forces both nationally and inter-nationally.International partners are vital for many reasons and especially in order togive us access to the best technology and to co-operate in multinationaldevelopment programmes and last but not least to be inspired to continue ourown development programmes.Competent Nammo employees with high integrity and business ethics aretherefore essential to a continued positive development of the Group. We hope this years edition of the Nammo BULLETIN will be interesting readingand gives you a brief picture of the competences we have in Nammo.
