“PIECES OF PEACE”
The MLK Commemorative Committee invites you and your family to join other Chester and
Delaware County residents in remembering Dr. King and his legacy. Widener University,
Swarthmore College, YWCA, United Way of Southeast Delaware County, Wallingford Community
Arts Center and the Unity Center are working together to bring you a great event. You will have
several fun activities available to you including:

WHO: MLK Commemorative Committee

WHAT: MLK Commemoration and Celebration Event

WHERE: Chester YWCA, 4 East 7th Street

WHEN: January 17th, 2011 @ 9 A.M.

 Volunteering at worksites throughout the City of Chester

 Quilting Project (all skill levels welcome!)
 Programs for kids
 A mural project
 Peace Flags you can decorate for your home
 2011 Non-Violence pledge.
 Wreath laying with special guest speaker Dr. Alonso Cavin
 Complementary lunch and t-shirts!!!
