WHAT AREDINING MANNERS?
•
Table/Dining manners
are theetiquettesused whileeating. This includes theappropriate use ofutensilstoo.•Eating with etiquettes is like addingcolours to a plain diagram.•Many table manners evolved out ofpracticality. For example, it is generallyimpolite to putelbows ontablessince doingso creates a risk of tipping over bowls andcups.
Well done, I enjoyed this. Your book raises some interesting questions for discussion. For example: I rarely wait for others before I start, and I don't want them to wait for me. I really don't like food that's gone cold. I think hot food is meant to be good and hot. So what do you do if you are with people who don't have the ability to make you feel comfortable about starting to eat, if you get your food before they do? Believe me, some people who think they are the 'cat's whiskers' in manners, insist that everyone waits until the lucky last one, with the hot food is served.
