yes this is deffinately a snake you'd find in australia but its not an olive python its a srub python(bar neck scrub python to be exact they are known to exceed 15ft. but im glad someone knows alil about snakes the largest snake in africa is the african rock python but it has more of a pattern on its skin that would make it easier to identify.

I have been an Ophiologist and Field Herpetologist in Oman for the past 22 years. But how come someone speak of a huge snake at Jebel Samhan and mislead the people. I have been in and out of caves, mountain cliffs, wadis and deep ravines in Oman. I am certain there are no huge snakes in Oman. I agree with ajshea and he is absolutely corrrect that it is an Australian Olive Python dragging a Wallaroo.
Someone recently wrote about an Anaconda in Sahalnoot (Dhofar region)in Oman. Most people are totally ignorant about Snakes in Oman.

This is not a cow, this is a Kangaroo, Look at the small head the body structure and better yet the tail in the water gives it away. This pic is from Australia.
