Karel Vredenburg is the director of IBM User Experience Design and is responsible for driving the visual and interaction/userexperience design of IBM software, hardware, websites, and services. Karel leads the development of IBM's user experiencedesign processes, methods, assets, and tools and their deployment company-wide, and also IBM's team of design and userexperience practitioners.

Luis Suarez Rodriguez has been working for IBM for 13 years. In that time he's specialized in Knowledge Management,Collaboration, Community Building, and in the last 8 years, Web 2.0 and Social Computing (Enterprise 2.0). He's currentlyworking as a KMer, CommunityBuilder & Social Computing evangelist helping to accelerate the adoption rate of socialsoftware within IBM. Over 2.5 years ago, he started an experiment about ditching corporate email in favor of social softwareto collaborate and share knowledge. IBM Lotus Connections demo –Ethan Perry
Ethan Perry is a Senior Product Designer, leading the LotusLive and Lotus Connections User Experience teams. Ethan hasalso designed the user interface for IBM application development tools. Before joining IBM, Ethan was a researcher at theMIT Media Lab in the Sociable Media Group. Ethan will provide a demo of IBM Lotus Connections software and itscollaboration and social media features.

Velda Bartek is a Senior User Experience Designer working on IBM's collaboration and social software.
