Just before the holidays I spoke with the step brothers of Jeffery Rogers.

Both
confirmed it was common knowledge within the family that Ronald Peter Rogers
had molested his brother’s son Jeffery as a young boy. Paul Rogers is reported to
have confronted his brother around the time of his 2nd wife’s memorial. Both Kent
and Mike Brunk stated that Ronald Peter Rogers had admitted to his brother the he
had sexually abused his son.

Update Nov 2008 – excerpts from my notes regarding phone conversations with the
step brothers of sex abuse victim Jeffery Roger. Sp to Mike Brunk (DOB 2-28-61) in
Ault CO at 970 834 2060. He told me that his children had no contact with Peter. He
stated that when he returned to NH for his mother’s memorial service Sandra (Brunk)
Rogers DoD 11-20-03, memorial service in Center Barnstead NH 4-17-04, his brother
Kent said that Paul Rogers was upset. Kent told Mike that Paul had suspected that his
brother peter was a pedophile and that Paul had confronted Peter and he confessed. He
said his father was a cop in NH and a cop with the Polk county sheriff dept in Fl. He
stated that his father then became a minister. He gave me his sister phone # Cathleen
Jacobson 610 478 1429 early in the conversation. He said his brother has 3 boys Ben 22,
Kyle 19 and N 16. Mike stated several times that his brother Kent (nickname Butch) was
best friends with Jeff Rogers during high school.

Kent Brunk (DOB 11-1-62) called back a few days after I spoke with Mike (from ph #
603 256 3005 Keene NH). He was a little upset that I had not spoke directly with him
about my concerns regarding Peter. He was up set that I had chosen to speak with his
brother regarding Peter. He cooled off and spoke candidly with me regarding Jeff. He
repeated what his brother said about Paul being up set during his visit to NH for his
wife’s memorial service. Kent stated that Paul had suspected something was wrong for
years. He confronted his brother about rumors in the family that Peter had molested Jeff.
Kent stated that Peter had admitted to his brother that he had molested his son Jeff. Kent
stated that Paul was very upset during his stay in NH as a result of this admission by his
brother.
