What do we do at GEMS ?
GEMS helps people with mentalhealth concerns to recover,developing work, social and lifeskills, confidence and stamina.People who are working, not workingon pensions or who are seeking paidemployment can attend GEMSrebuild their social life andparticipate in the wider community.Some members take on valuableroles in running GEMS, and find thiswork highly satisfying.

Members and staff join together to keep GEMSrunning, using every inch of our wellequipped, warm and friendly house,our busy kitchen our sunnyenclosed outdoor area & garden.In this way, members develop skillsand confidence. Getting intosomething that is fun andproductive buildsesteem andmotivation.

GEMS at “Palms Oasis “
Daily Living in the Community& Day respite/support
This new program is targeted atpeople with mental health concerns(consumers) & care providers whoexperience social isolation. Theprogram includes both structuredand not so structured sociallybased day activity programs whichdevelop skills, confidence andsocial networks. This will increaseability to participate in social,recreational and educationalactivities, thereby improvinghealth outcomes and quality of life.
