7 ON 7 PASSING TOURNAMENT / LINEMAN CHALLENGE
 
Saturday, July 16 and/or 23, 2011Bucyrus Sports Complex
Dear Coaches,
Last year our 4th Annual Bucyrus Redmen 7 on 7 Passing Tournament / Lineman Challenge was abig success! We had thirty-eight teams from ten different conferences competing in our 7-on-7 / Lineman Challenge competitions. This year we are looking for a total of 
twenty
different schools tocompete in the tournament and the lineman challenge. We give a rotating trophy to the team that winsthe 7on 7 tournament and trophies to the top three teams in the 7-on-7 / Lineman Challenge. We alsohave concessions throughout the day and T-shirts available for the sale at the tournament.We are hosting two separate tournaments this season just like last two years. The first will takeplace on the Saturday, July 16, 2011; the second on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Both tournaments will berun using the same format as long as the numbers are available and lineman challenge events.The cost is $75.00 per team and $15.00 for each additional team. If you wish to play in bothtournaments on the 17th and 24
th
, the cost will be $125.00 for as many teams as you want to play onboth days. As long as you are in the tournament, there is no fee for the Lineman Challenge. All checksshould be payable to Bucyrus Booster Club. Admission for fans will be one dollar and we will haveseveral concession stands and t-shirts for sale. Championship Format:
 
Fee:
$75.00 per team, and $15.00 for each additional team, $125.00 for unlimited teams on the 12

. (Checks payable to Bucyrus Booster Club)-No fee for lineman challenge if you are in the tournament
Method of Play:
1.
 
Each game will be 25 minutes in length2.
 
Coin Flip to see who starts on offense3.
 
Ball will always start on offense’s 40 yard line to begin each possession. (Including interceptions)4.
 
Offense will be given 3 downs to get 15 Yards (2 first downs)5.
 
Offense has 25 seconds to put ball in play6.
 
All touchdowns are worth 6 points. PAT from the 5 yard line worth 1 point, PAT from the 10yard line worth 2 points7.
 
Interception run back for a touchdown is worth 6 points. Interceptions become dead ball.8.
 
Offenses may finish the drive they started only if they have a chance to tie or win.9.
 
Team with most points at the end of each game wins.10.
 
Overtime will be played sudden death. Each team will be given four plays from the 25 yard linewith PAT. Must go for 2 after second overtime.
Governing Rules
1.
 
This is a 7 on 7 Passing tournament2.
 
No running plays (No QB running plays)3.
 
No blocking what-so-ever (Penalty)4.
 
You may have 5 eligible receivers, plus QB and Center5.
 
The football must be thrown in 4.0 seconds. If not, it is considered a sack and the next play startsfrom the previous line of scrimmage.

Unsportsmanlike conduct (player and/or coach)

1. Offensive / defensive off-sides2. Defensive holding or illegal bumps3. Defensive pass interference (automatic first down if in the end zone)-Defenders may bump receivers only within 5 yards of LOS. Must be below the neck.-Defenders must touch player with one hand below the neck to down the play. Player who falls downwith possession is down at the spot.-All fumbles are down at the spot (Offense retains possession)-All coaches must stay out of the game
-Any flagrant foul can result in disqualification from game, tournament, etc.

Bench Press Rep Challenge-175 lbs.-Top 6 Per Team
-Spotter can help unrack the bar but cannot touch the bar again until theathlete has failed or racks the weights.-The bar must touch the chest and elbows must be locked out for a successfullift-The total reps will be recorded for participant total.-Warm-ups will be permitted-Feet must be flat on the ground and once back is arched it must stay arched.

Tire Flip-Top single Group of 3
-3 man flipping of tractor tire in 45 seconds time
3.
 
Tug of War single group of 34.
 
Dead-Lift Carry or Farmers Walk –Top 6 per team
-Participants will carry 225 Ibs for 50 Yard (timed)
5.
 
Strongman Plate Lift-Top 6 per team
-Participates will lift a 45/100 pound plates on to several different variousheight platforms for a time.
