face became whiter and brighter than milk. His belly and eyes also
regained their shape. I was extremely happy. When that great man
was going to leave, I asked him who he was. He told me that he was
my beloved Prophet .
Dear students! We receive many Madani pearls from this lesson. First,
our beloved Prophet is very kind and affectionate to his
Ummah. Secondly, those who recite Durood-o-Salam are showered
upon with the benevolence of his Lord. Thirdly, Durood-o-Salam
earns for us the pleasure of Allah Almighty and His beloved Prophet
.

Heavenly Meal
6
Then Hazrat Isa ordered the people to eat this meal to
satiate their hunger but at the same time he forbade them to store
it for the next day. But Bani Israelies disobeyed him and stored the
meal for the next day. Due to this disobedience, Allah Almighty
deformed them and changed them into monkeys and pigs. Then
Hazrat Isa prayed for their death. On the third day, all of
them died and no one knew, what had happened to their dead-
bodies.
Dear students, there are many moral lessons in this unit. First, we
must realize the significance of gratefulness and the torment unleashed
upon the ungrateful. Secondly, disobedience to prophets causes and
invites the wrath of Allah Almighty. Thirdly, greed is always a curse
which deprives a man of Allahs favours and His immense bounty.

companions were very thirsty. They wandered here and there in
search of water. A monk who lived in a church told them that there
was a well at a distance of two miles. Some people asked Hazrat Alis
permission to go there. Hazrat Ali pointed his auspicious
finger towards a place and ordered them to dig that place. They
started digging the place. After a while, a rock appeared there. They
tried their level best to dig out that rock but they could not succeed.

Dear students! We start wudu with Miswak (a piece of twig used to
brush teeth). Now Miswak is very useful for human beings. It saves
teeth from all types of diseases. It sharpens memory and intellect.
Whenever the Holy Prophet entered his house, he would
brush his teeth with Miswak.
During wudu, we wash our face, hands, arms and feet. Nowadays,
there is pollution, dirt and smoke every where. By performing wudu,
we save the sensitive parts of our body from harm. An environment
expert says: One should wash his face time to time in order to save
it from allergy. A renowned member of American Council for Beauty
once said,The Muslims dont require any lotion, as wudu saves their
faces from various diseases. Wudu also saves us from blindness.

Chapter 7
The ruler of India, Prithvi Raj was very worried about this. Hence he
asked the most dangerous magician of the country, Ajay Paal to fight
a duel with Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz . Ajay Paal reached the
dwelling place of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz along with
his companions. Seeing the anxiety of his companions, Khawaja
Ghareeb Nawaz encircled them and ordered them to remain
in the circle. In the meantime, Ajay Paals disciples started throwing
flames and stones at the Muslims but all their tricks proved to be in
vain. Then they conjured thousands of snakes which started
approaching the Muslims but as soon as they reached the circle, they
died. When all the tactics of his disciples failed, their leader started
showing different magic tricks but everything vanished before entering
into the circle.
Upon this, he became furious. He tossed the skin of deer in the air
and sat upon it. When he rose very high, the Muslims became nervous.
17
They thought he would now create mischief but Hazrat Khawaja
Ghareeb Nawaz was smiling. He ordered his shoes to fly. His
shoes reached over the head of Ajay within no time and started
striking at his head. At every strike, he came rapidly down and finally
fell at the feet of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz . He repented
over his sins and embraced Islam. Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz
gave him the Islamic name of Abdullah.
Dear students! From this incident we learn that the pious muslims
strived zealously to preach Islam. We should also try to spread the
teachings of our beloved Prophet .

A Foxs dilemma
Once a plague broke out in the capital of the Ummayad Dynasty. The
Caliph Walid bin Abdul Malik was so frightened that he left his capital
and set out on a long journey in order to avoid the deadly plague.
He was extremely terrified. Therefore he would drink, eat and even
sleep on his horse. He thought that the moment he dismounted from
his horse, the dangerous epidemic would attack him and as a result
of the attack, he would die.
One day, he called for his wisest counsellor and asked him to narrate
tale. The wise counsellor thus spoke: One day, a fox was wandering
here and there in the forest. Suddenly an eagle pounced upon it.
The fox was very worried so it went to the lion and asked him for
help. The kind hearted lion agreed to help the fox. He asked it to sit
on his back so that no animal might dare to attack the fox. The
31
fox did so but one day a giant eagle came, picked up the fox and
started flying towards an unknown place. While the fox was being
pounced upon, it asked the lion to help it. The lion told the fox that
he had promised to guard it against the attack of earthly beasts but
he could not help it against attacks by heavenly monsters.
When the counsellor finished the story the kings mind realized its
significance. He had understood the moral of this story. He realized
that his huge army could help him against his foes but they could
not do anything to avert his fate. So he ordered his army to return
to the capital.
According to our religion, when plague spreads in an area, we must not run away
from that place.

A sacred Journey
About four thousand years ago, a child was born in the land of Iraq.
His name was Ibrahim . He was one of the greatest
Prophets of Allah Almighty. He is also known as Khalilullah
(Friend of Allah Almighty).
The Prophet of Allah Almighty asked his wife to stay near one of the
hills. Saying this, he started going away. Upon this Hazrat Bibi Hajra
asked him the reason for his departure. Hazrat Ibrahim
told her that Allah Almighty had commanded him to do so. Hazrat
Hajra breathed a sigh of relief and then uttered these historic
words: If Allah Almighty wished so, he would not let us die
Dear students, do you know what is the name of that child and that
spring? The name of that child is Hazrat Ismail . And the
name of that spring is Zamzam. Hazrat Ismail was also
given Prophethood. The moral of this story is that true believers

all the other religions and I think, Islam will also be like all
the other religions of the world.
Salman: Dear, first, you cant compare Islam to any other religion of the
world. Secondly, Islam is the only religion in the world which
is perfect and which guides its followers in all spheres of life.
John: How can you prove this?
Salman: It is as easy as ABC but you will have to go with me to
Faizan-e-Madina. There we can discuss this thoroughly.
John: O.K. lets go.
Salman: Be seated, please. Now, we can easily discuss. You can ask
anything about Islam.
John: (He is much obliged to Salman because of this hospitality)
I dont know a lot about Islam but very often a question
comes to my mind that why we worship only One God when
all the other religions ask their followers to worship more
than one God. How can a single God run this entire universe
alone? Isnt it ridiculous?
Salman: As far as your first question is concerned, you are absolutely
correct that we believe in One Allah Almighty ( ). The
reason is that Allah Almighty has created each and everything.
Secondly, if there had been more than one God, there would
have been destruction in the whole universe. Thirdly, even
if a small state is run by two rulers, what will be the result?
38
John: (Thinking for a while) They would distribute their duties.
And it would be very easy for them.
Salman: (Smiling) Can you give a single example?
John: (Wonderstruck and perplexed) I cant think of any example.
Salman: Why?
John: I dont know but all the religions say that the creator is one,
however he has assigned many duties to his partners.
Salman: Dear! If a small state cant be run by two rulers, how is it
possible that this vast and limitless universe would be
governed by two or three or as many gods as other religions
claims there to be think? Dont you think there would be
chaos and destruction?
John: (He seems somewhat convinced) But what about Gods
family members?
Salman: Dear, if we suppose for a while that Allah Almighty has a
family then the question will arise who are the parents of
Allah Almighty and then who are their parents and so on.
Isnt it illogical as well as irrational opinion? Dont you think
it is sheer absurdity to even think about it?
John: Your arguments seem logical. Brother, I am convinced. I
want to embrace Islam.
Salman: (Almost in a trance) All praise be to Allah, the Lord of all
the worlds!

Chapter 15
A man relates that once he saw a strange man at the shrine of Hazrat
Baha-ud-din Multani . He was looking very sad and weak.
He had dipped his fingers in a bucket. The man asked the stranger
What is the reason behind dipping your fingers in the bucket? That
stranger said I was a shopkeeper. A beggar would come to my shop
daily and I would give him one or two coins. He used to tell me very
sad stories about his poverty. It so happened that he did not come
for many days. I decided to inquire about him. So I went to his cottage.
There he was lying on a broken bed. When he saw me, he started
41
weeping and told me that whatever he had told me was wrong. He
was not poor. In fact, he was very wealthy. His family-members hated
this profession, so they had left him. But he could not quit this
profession. Then he pointed his finger towards a corner and said that
there were four sacks of money under the worn-out clothes. When
I removed the worn-out clothes, I found four sacks full of money.
The mysterious beggar requested me to bury all that wealth along
with him after his death. Saying this, he died. I buried him with the
help of some people and also buried his money but remembered
the place. After some time, I suffered a huge loss in business so I
decided to take out the money which I had buried in the grave. One
night, I reached the graveyard and started digging his grave. After
a few moments, I saw a sack of money. I was very frightened but
then due to greed, I approached the sack. As soon as I touched the
sack, a cinder burned my fingers. I screamed loudly and ran away
from the graveyard. I repented and expressed remorse but I couldnt
get rid of that pain. Since then I have been dipping my fingers into
the water.

Dear students! This lesson has been taken from the book-let of
Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat The Devastations of Music. In this unit, you
will be told about the first singer of the world and mentor of those
who sing songs.
It is said that when Hazrat Adam ate the fruit of the forbidden
tree, it was Satan who sang a song in delight on that occasion.
Moreover, when Hazrat Adam passed away, at that time
Hazrat Adams unfortunate son Qabeel (who killed his
44
brother Habeel due to jealousy) sang a song along with Satan. Both
of them were very happy at the death of Hazrat Adam .
So in order to celebrate this occasion, they got together, beat drums
and sang songs of delight.
Let us resolve that we will neither sing songs nor will we listen to
them.
