Tiffany Hutchings with the Sustainability Council spoke about the various things thecouncil is involved in. They are always looking for new members and encourageeveryone to join or come to a meeting. The meetings are open to the public and you donot need to be a member to attend. They are typically the second Tuesday of each month, but can vary sometimes, and the meeting times/locations can be found on their website atwww.du.ed/green. You can also serve on a committee without joining the council if youare interested on working on specific initiatives. All committees are listed on their website. The Rocky Mountain Sustainability Summit will be held at DU in February,2011. There is also a listserv you can sign up for. There was some discussion over paper flyers and the push to reduce them has not gone very far. Recycle bins will be placedoutside around campus in the coming months. Dan Wesolowski, Director of Ticket Sales, spoke about the upcoming Faculty, Staff andRetiree appreciation week. Tuesday, 11/16 at 7pm the DU women¶s basketball team willhost CU here and Thursday, 11/18 at 7pm the DU men¶s basketball team will host CSUhere. On Thursday there will be a reception from 6 to 7 with food, drinks and prizes.Athletics offers great benefits to DU employees; including discounts on season tickets
