Ryan’s Song – Tribute to Ryan Russell
Composed and performed by Another day, Lord to do my work,
Kimberley Plaseski Dunn unsure of what lies ahead.

Warmest smile, gentle boy It may hold the chance to help those in need,
Will never be forgotten and that would be my desire.
Tears we cry, so many goodbyes
For our fallen son I pray that you will empower me to be a
Wishing you could come home
peacemaker to all I come in contact with.
Wishing there was no goodbye
To the helpless, may I be a helper,
City blue, honours you to the distressed, may I be a comfort.
Hero forever more
Bravery, we’ve come to see To those who plan evil, may I be a deterrent,
Was every day for you and to those who have carried out their plans
may I be a sword of justice so they will no longer
Wishing the world a better place prey on the weak and hurting.
Wishing you rest in peace
I humbly ask that you surround me with your angels,
Dark day, for a city
Darkest day for a family
and a wall of fire for protection.
We’re here to say
Come this way And if, in the course of your plan,
We’ll shine a light for you I find this day to be my last,
the concern of my life is that you would be
Wishing you could come home the Father to my children and,
Wishing there was no goodbye the provider to my wife.

Wishing time, we could rewind In Jesus’ name, Amen

Your sacrifice not forgotten
No greater loss, We honour you
And keep you in our hearts

Wishing you could come home
