 Mountain Meditation
By- Prof. Dilip Gaikwad (Klatu Lukundu)
I first came across this tool in a Huna book. Thedescription given in that book was very brief andprecise. I was not satisfied with that and I startedexperimenting on myself as well as my clients of Astrology and my students. My experimentationyielded powerful results, sometimes they were notvery successful andI learned from feed back.Iresearched extensively the works of Freud, Jung,Assagioli, Erikson, Haley, King, Weiselman,Castaneda and Hyatt. The research led me to morerefined way of practicing Mountain Meditation. ThisMountain Meditation is a tool that I use regularly. I
also present this at workshops and it has beenreceived very well. The participants areflabbergasted by the magical solutions to theirproblems. The concept here is to explore one¶sown
inner mountain(subconscious andunconscious representation of problems andcomplexes).
It is time set aside to explore ourcreative imagination. Instead of looking forpatterns using astrology or tarot, or looking forsigns in the outer-world, we can at any time lookinward, finding patterns and symbols, messagesand even omens in our own subconscious mind, within our own imagination.
We can solve anyproblem even use patterns and symbols frommythology, Astrology, Wastushastra, Fengshui, I-Ching, Tarot, playing cards, yantras, sigils and talismans.
In this meditation wecreate a mountain. It can be any mountain and we
can change any thing about it at will. It isunderstood this mountain is a reflection of our ownproblems.
It is 100% ours.
Images in thismountain represent aspects of ourselves.
Thismeditation comes from the Hawaiian Hunatradition. The mountain can be used for a tool for solvingproblems as well, setting patterns in oursubconscious mind that will solve our problems. Anexample is this: we may be facing certainobstacles in career from our boss; while climbingthe mountain in meditation a dog is continuouslybarking at us when we do the meditation, thebarking generate fear. During the meditation wechain the dog with the help of people. We re-envision the dog as helpful, obedient andprotective guard. Our mind sees this as the naturalorder of things and begins to transform our
