By showing the audience the actors it gives them a feeling that they are being introduced and going to get to know them further within the film. By then having the title rise to the top it creates a connotation that the film will follow the gangster narrative convention of hopeful gangsters rising to the top to control the underworld empire then by changing to credits in orange text it feel that that chapter is closing and another will open by them watching the film
