Born in Monongahila,
Pennsylvania, Linda Kuchera
began” dancing “under Joan
Miler at Park Dance Cent
Lake Park, Florida at the age
‘of 12. She continued training
there until the age of 15 and
then completed two years at
the Washington school of
Ballet with Mary Day. At the
Academy, she performed as
‘Wattz Soloist in Loe Syiphides,
Flower. Soloist in. the
‘Nutcracker, The Nutcracker
as de Deux and many others.
{including guest appeerances
in Atlanta, Georgia).
After graduating at the age of
17 in 1969, she became, an
apprentice ‘to the Joffrey
Company. and a member of
Joffrey “i While with the
‘Joffrey tl company, she made
a” guest. appearance in
‘Alabama where she danced
the Don Quixote Pas de Deux
‘and Corsa.
Hor first professional contract
‘was for the winter season of
1970 with the Now York City
Opera Ballet where she
returned ia the fall of 1972.
She ‘danced with the Radio
City Music Hall Ballet in the
summer of 1972. In 1973, she
‘on a 13 week tour with
t Brio dancing The Black

‘Swan Pas de Deux. Later with
that company she performed
in-an engagement st Jacobs
Pow.
In the fall of 1973, she was
hired to dance with American
Ballet Theatre with whom she
has. danced leading roles in
their varied repertoire.
