Every two months, a newslet-tergoes out to the 450 homesin our neighborhood, edited by a neighbor volunteer, PaulBaca. Your membership feeshelp to offset the costs, but it isnot enough to pay for the An-nual Meeting, yard sale adver-tising, newsletters, Ice CreamSocial and Annual Picnic.
Every month we have a Re-cycle Drive. You can helpraise money by participatingin our monthly Recycle Drive.You place your recyclables(newspapers, cans, and plastic bottles) out the 2nd Saturdayof the month and you candrive and pick up the recy-clables using your car or truck(8:00-9:30am). All the moneyraised is used to fund activi-ties we all enjoy and make ourneighborhood a fun and spe-cial place to live. In 2010 weraised almost $600 by recy-cling.Inside this newsletter isyour annual membershipform. Please take the time tofill it out, checking off whereyou can help. Remember thesmall fee you pay helps tocover the costs of newslet-ters and special events.An involved communityis a safe and caring commu-nity! Please get involved!

Adopt-A-Rose for your Valentine
On behalf of Bachrodt CharterAcademy students, families andstaff, Happy New Year! Schoolis back in full swing and thestudents are excited about an-other great semester. Already,students are looking forwardto a family movie night inearly February and Valentine'sflower grams sales to celebrateValentine's Day. Also, we aregearing up for our big See'sCandy fundraiser ... so be onthe lookout for Bachrodt stu-dents in the neighborhoodselling delicious See's candies! Just before Thanksgiving,Bachrodt students partici-pated in their annual TurkeyTrot walk-a-thon. The stu-dents really enjoy this eventand had a great time walkingaround the field. They alsoraised close to $10,000 tosupport school initiatives.Thanks to any Rosemary Gar-dens neighbors who supported

During the holidays, stu-dents at Bachrodt held acanned food drive to sup-port Second Harvest FoodBank. By the end of the fooddrive, the students had filled5 barrels with non-perish-able food. It was wonderfulto see the students get ex-cited about doing somethingfor a great cause. The class ineach grade level that donatedthe most cans of food wentice skating at the downtownice skating rink right whenthey got back to school. Whata great way to start the newyear!Thanks again to the Rose-mary Gardens NeighborhoodAssociation for theircontin-ued support of the neighbor-hood school. We look forwardto collaborating on more greatevents this spring!
