God's guidance of your reading will always make reading your Bible more meaningful. Choose a time and a place where you always read for me it's the kitchen table in the mornings. Don't beat yourself up for missing a day God's desire is that we come to him with a willing heart.

God's guidance of your reading will always make reading your Bible a more meaningful experience. Allow the Holy Spirit some room to work through the words.
2. Choose a time and a place where you ALWAYS read
For me it's the kitchen table in the mornings. I find the mornings work really well for me, but whenever you choose, stick to it! Make it a part of your daily routine. Choosing a specific place allows you to keep your study materials out so that they are always there when you need them.
3. Read every day
Some days life will be busy and you may just need to skim through the passage. Obviously you don't want this to be the norm, but once in a while it's okay. It's worth it to continue developing good habits.
4. Don't beat yourself up for missing a day
We are human and are imperfect. God's desire is that we come to him with a willing heart. Beating yourself up because you missed reading your Bible does more harm than good because it turns it into a “Christian Checklist” item.
5. Find a “Bible Buddy”
Cheesy as this may sound, having an accountability partner that is also doing the study helps. This is not simply a “did you read today?” relationship. Let this be someone with whom you discuss the day's reading and consider the new ideas that the scripture presented to you. This can be a daily, bi-weekly or weekly conversation, but it should be consistent either way.
