Kettlenetics, the Slimming and Toning System for Women
, by now you have probably seen the terms “
kettlenetics
” and
kBell
” on television or online and wondered what it is all about. You mayhave even watched the infomercial and questioned whether this is justanother gadget that will end up in the corner with the rest of the infomercial junk that never quite seems to deliver as promised.Like you, I was also very skeptical but there was something about thissystem that intrigued me. I know that strength training is important forwomen to help keep bones strong and to build lean muscle and thatstretching and doing cardio with weights help the cardio-vascular system inaddition to burning calories, but could the
kettlenetics system
reallyaccomplish this? There was no way of knowing unless I got online, and plunked down mycredit card. At first I was a bit taken back since as soon as you order the
kettlenetics system
as shown on the site you’re immediately askedwhether you want to also add in the advanced system. Since I didn’t evenknow if the original system would work, would I really wantto opt for an additional upgrade?Ok, so I figured if I am going to do this, I was going to do itright – so I opted for both the beginner and advancedsystems. As of this writing, the
is stillat its introductory price, so even with adding in the deluxe advanced systemit was still very reasonably priced. When my box arrived about 10 days after I had ordered, it was much heavierthan I thought it would be and when the UPS driver handed it to me, I almostdropped it. I immediately thought – this workout is going to be tougher thanI had anticipated.Let me say this right up front - if you are expecting a 4 pound weight to belight – think again. It sounds light, but it is not and I know that most of themen out there are laughing at me. But remember that this systemis mainly geared towards women and lets face it, many of us arenot strong. The weight that is the center of the kettlenetics system is a
It’s similar in design to kettle bells but instead of having one weight

in each hand, the kBell has a larger ring attached to the weight, and you useboth hands at once.Ok, now it’s time to pull out all the DVD’s and start learning all the moves.Michelle Khai, who created kettlenetics is a dancer and has based thekettlenetics on the moves that dancers use to stay long and lean. Unlike therest of us who work out one part of their body before moving on to another, dancers will often work out several major muscle groups at once. This makestheir workouts shorter and much more effective. Ah, but since it was danceinspired would I be able to follow along- that was my question. The first DVD that you watch slowly walks you through the 7 mainmovements and you also get a wall chart, to refer to. Fortunately, themovements are very simple and although they are based on dance, itdoesn’t involve dancing or knowing how to dance. That was an extra plus forme since I can’t dance to save my life.As you work through the remaining DVD’s you can see just howcomprehensive this system actually is. You will alsofind that kettlenetics is a fun workout (yes I did sayfun) but it is not an easy workout. You’ll realize that a four pound weight, can make youwork up a sweat real quick and although you mightbe tempted to do more than one workout your firstday, don’t. I did, and I really felt it the next day. To besafe just follow what is suggested, as you’ll have plenty of otherdays to hit the other workouts. The same hold true for moving up to the eight pound kBell. Don’tmove upuntil you are ready. This will take about 10-12 weeks. And when you domove up to the higher weight try doing your regular kettlenetics workout forthree-quarters of your workout and then use the eight pound kBell for justthe last few minutes. Then build up slowly using the eight pound weightlonger and longer until your full workout is with the heavier weight.Kettlentics is a workout system that I plan on doing for a very long time. I likethe way I feel, love my results so far (and so does my husband). Is kettlenticsright for you? Only you know that answer. If you are looking to get toned andslim without having to work at it – then no, kettlenetics is not right for you.But if you are willing to work up a sweat and breathe a bit harder then the
may just be what your looking for.

I also an doing the kettlenetics workout. Your right about the weight. I thought that 4 pounds would be way to light to make any difference (I was using hand weights that were 5 pounds for each hand) but since you use the kbell differently - it kicked my butt. Will be waiting several weeks before I pull out my 8 pounder.
