Green SpaceA short discussion about the Bordesley Railway Viaduct: how the group could perhapssecure the land to create a green space within Digbeth.Everyone present at the meeting was asked to see if they could discover any further information about the land and its ownership status.Andy Sheppard had prepared a handout with information about a similar project undertakenin New York. Item on-going6. BCC Nechells Constituency MeetingVal Woodward requested for as many Digbeth residents as possible to attend this meeting tobe held at Phoenix Hall at 6pm on Thursday 27
January 2011.If possible, it was asked that the following items be brought to the meeting’s attention:a. What has happened (if anything) to the Section 106 money collected by BCC fromthe Abacus Building developers? This money needs to be used before April 2011 toimprove the area, otherwise it will be returned to the developers.b. To request a date for a Digbeth ‘summit’ proposed by Andy Munroe (Regeneration/Planning Officer, BCC) to discuss the impact of the Big City Plan on Digbeth. Thefinal date for feeding back into the Big City Plan is 26
