P r e f a c e
This field manual provides commanders and
staffs with general information and technical
data concerning chemical and biological
agents and other compounds of military inter-est. It discusses the use; the classification; and
the physical, chemical, and physiological
properties of these agents and compounds. It
also discusses protection and decontamination
of these agents. In addition, it discusses their
symptoms and the treatment of those
symptoms.
The proponent of this publication is Head-
quarters, TRADOC. Submit recommended
changes for improving this publication on DAForm 2028 (Recommended Changes to Publi-
cations and Blank Forms) and forward it to
Commandant, US Army Chemical School,
