 A brief introduction
Welcome to the first ever issue of DIY Life Zine! When Idecided to put together a zine, I was very excited aboutthe project, but also a little apprehensive. Would peoplebe interested? Would I get enough submissions?? But Ineedn’t have worried. The topic “DIY Life” can includesuch a variety of subjects, which is part of the reason Ichose it. Because of that topic, you’ll find articles onunschooling sharing space with an article on safe computeruse for those who don’t want their online activities to beheld against them. Evocative poetry followed closely by anarticle on the importance of reducing consumption. Withinthese pages you’ll find thought-provoking articles, movingpoetry, lovely art… I *know* many of the contributors, either because I’ve had the pleasure of meeting them inperson, or because I’ve had significant contact with themonline, and I can honestly say that I think the peoplewho’ve contributed to this zine are seriously awesome! It’s a pleasure to share with you the wonderful stuff thatthey’ve created. Now without further ado (I’ve alwayswanted to say that), I present to you the inaugural issue!I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, but whether you do ornot, feedback is very much appreciated!Sincerely,IdzieEmail:open.eyed.slave@gmail.com Website:www.yes-i-can-write.blogspot.com
