Surah feel
ِ ‫َألَ ْم تَرَ َكيْفَ َف َع َل رَ بُّكَ ِب َأصْ َحا‬
‫ب ا ْل ِفي ِل‬
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?
‫َألَ ْم ي َْج َع ْل َكيْ َد ُه ْم ِفي َتضْ ِلي ٍل‬
Did He not cause their war to end in confusion
‫س َل عَ لَي ِْه ْم طَيْرً ا َأب َِابي َل‬
َ ْ‫وَ َأر‬
And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
‫يهم ِب ِح َجارَ ٍة ِّمن ِس ّ ِجي ٍل‬ِ ‫تَرْ ِم‬
Striking them with stones of baked clay.
‫ف م َّْأ ُكو ٍل‬
ٍ ْ‫َف َج َعلَ ُه ْم َكعَص‬
And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)?

Surah Quraish
ِ ‫إِل ِياَل‬
ٍ ‫ف ُقرَ ي‬
‫ْش‬
For the protection of the Qureaish—
‫ْف‬
ِ ‫صي‬َّ ‫شتَاء وَ ال‬ ّ ِ ‫ِإياَل ِف ِه ْم ِر ْحلَ َة ال‬
Their protection during their trading caravans in the winter and the summer—
ِ ‫َف ْليَعْ بُدُوا رَ بَّ َه َذا ا ْلبَي‬
‫ْت‬
So let them serve the Lord of this House
َ
ٍ ‫الَّ ِذي أطْ َع َم ُهم ِّمن ُج‬
ٍ ْ‫وع وَ آ َمنَ ُهم ِّمنْ خَ و‬
‫ف‬
Who feeds them against hunger and gives them security against fear.

Surah Al-Ma'un
ِ ‫ْت الَّ ِذي يُ َك ّذِبُ ِبال ِ ّد‬
‫ين‬ َ ‫َأرَ َأي‬
Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
‫َف َذ ِلكَ الَّ ِذي يَ ُد ُّع ا ْليَتِي َم‬
That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,
‫ين‬
ِ ‫س ِك‬ ْ ‫َام ا ْل ِم‬
ِ ‫وَ اَل يَ ُحضُّ عَ لَى طَع‬
And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.
َ‫َفوَ ْي ٌل ِلّ ْلمُصَ ِلّين‬
So woe to the praying ones,
َ‫الَّ ِذينَ ُه ْم عَ ن صَ اَل ِت ِه ْم سَا ُهون‬
Who are neglectful of their prayers,
َ‫الَّ ِذينَ ُه ْم يُرَ ا ُؤون‬
Who would be seen (at worship)
َ‫وَ يَمْ نَعُونَ ا ْلمَاعُون‬
Yet refuse small kindnesses!

Surah Al-Kauser (abundance, plenty)

َ‫ِإنَّا َأعْ طَيْنَاكَ ا ْل َكوْ ثَر‬
Surely We have given you Kausar,
ْ‫َفصَ ِ ّل ِلرَ ِبّكَ وَ ا ْن َحر‬
Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice
‫شا ِنئَكَ ُهوَ اأْل َ ْبتَ ُر‬ َ َّ‫ِإن‬
Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity,

Surah Al-Kafiroon (the disbelievers, atheists)

َ‫ُقلْ يَا َأيُّ َها ا ْل َكا ِفرُون‬
Say: O unbelievers!
َ‫اَل َأعْ بُ ُد مَا تَ ْعبُدُون‬
I do not serve that which you serve,
‫وَ اَل َأنتُ ْم عَ ِابدُونَ مَا َأعْ بُ ُد‬
Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve:
‫وَ اَل َأنَا عَ ِاب ٌد مَّا عَ بَدتُّ ْم‬
Nor am I going to serve that which you serve,
‫وَ اَل َأنتُ ْم عَ ِابدُونَ مَا َأعْ بُ ُد‬
Nor are you going to serve Him Whom I serve:
‫ين‬
ِ ‫ي ِد‬ َ ‫لَ ُك ْم ِدينُ ُك ْم وَ ِل‬
You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion.

Surah An-Nasr (succour, divine support)

‫ِإ َذا َجاء نَصْ ُر اللَّ ِه وَ ا ْل َفتْ ُح‬
When there comes the help of Allah and the victory,
ً َ‫ين اللَّ ِه َأ ْفو‬
‫اجا‬ َ ‫وَ رَ َأي‬
ِ ‫ْت النَّاسَ يَ ْد ُخلُونَ ِفي ِد‬
And you see men entering the religion of Allah in companies,
‫ستَ ْغ ِفرْ ُه ِإنَّ ُه َكانَ تَ َّوابًا‬ َ ‫َف‬
ْ ‫س ِبّحْ ِب َحمْ ِد رَ ِبّكَ وَ ا‬
Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-
returning (to mercy).
Surah Al-Lahb (the flame)
ٍ ‫َّت يَدَا َأ ِبي لَ َه‬
َّ‫ب وَ تَب‬ ْ ‫تَب‬
The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.
َ‫مَا َأ ْغنَى عَ ْن ُه مَالُ ُه وَ مَا َكسَب‬
His wealth and gains will not exempt him.
ٍ ‫ات لَ َه‬
‫ب‬ َ ‫سيَصْ لَى نَارً ا َذ‬
َ
He will be plunged in flaming Fire,
ِ َ ‫وَ امْ رَ َأتُ ُه َحمَّالَ َة ا ْل َحط‬
‫ب‬
And his wife, the bearer of fuel,
َ ‫ِفي ِجي ِد َها َح ْب ٌل ِّمن َّم‬
‫س ٍد‬
A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck!

Surah Al-Ikhlas (sincerity)

‫ُقلْ ُهوَ اللَّ ُه َأ َح ٌد‬
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
َّ ‫اللَّ ُه ال‬
‫ص َم ُد‬
Allah is He on Whom all depend.
‫لَ ْم يَ ِل ْد وَ لَ ْم يُولَ ْد‬
He begets not, nor is He begotten.
‫وَ لَ ْم يَ ُكن لَّ ُه ُك ُفوً ا َأ َح ٌد‬
And none is like Him.

Surah Al-Falaq (the daybreak, dawn)

ِ ّ َ‫ُقلْ َأعُو ُذ ِبر‬
‫ب ا ْل َفلَ ِق‬
Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
‫ش ِّر مَا خَ َل َق‬ َ ‫ِمن‬
From the evil of what He has created,
َ‫اس ٍق ِإ َذا وَ َقب‬
ِ ‫ش ِرّ َغ‬ َ ‫وَ ِمن‬
And from the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,
‫ات ِفي ا ْل ُع َق ِد‬
ِ َ‫ش ِرّ النَّ َّفاث‬
َ ‫وَ ِمن‬
And from the evil of those who blow on knots,
َ ‫اس ٍد ِإ َذا َح‬
‫س َد‬ َ ‫وَ ِمن‬
ِ ‫ش ِّر َح‬
And from the evil of the envious when he envies

Surah An-Nas (mankind)

ِ ّ َ‫ُق ْل َأعُو ُذ ِبر‬
ِ َّ‫ب الن‬
‫اس‬
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men,
ِ َّ‫ك الن‬
‫اس‬ ِ ‫َم ِل‬
The King of men,
ِ َّ‫ِإلَ ِه الن‬
‫اس‬
The god of men,
ِ َّ‫اس ا ْلخَ ن‬
‫اس‬ ِ َ‫ش ِرّ ا ْلوَ سْو‬
َ ‫ِمن‬
From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,
ِ َّ‫ُور الن‬
‫اس‬ ِ ‫سْوسُ ِفي صُ د‬ ِ َ‫الَّ ِذي يُو‬
Who whispers into the hearts of men,
ِ َّ‫ِمنَ ا ْل ِجنَّ ِة وَ الن‬
‫اس‬
From among the jinn and the men.
