"Family Matters"

Previously on LOST:1) Locke's big speech about sticking together in 5.2.2) Juliet Telling Locke about the Island power source being geothermal in 5.2.3) Charlotte, Miles and Cindy in the tunnels in 5.2.4) Miles being dragged away by the monster in 5.2.5) Juliet and Harper's fight in 5.2.6) Charlotte finding the polar bear in Tunisia in 4.2.7) Charlotte finding her mother in 5.2.8) Miles telling Charlotte about her connection to the island in 4.13.9) Locke looking down the hatch in 5.2.1) INT. ARROW STATION. NIGHT.

The scene is the the same as we left Locke off with in 5.2 with the camera angle being at the bottom of the new hatch looking up at Locke at the top. Locke is holding a torch and thecamera goes back up the hatch to the surface where we see Juliet, Harper, Richard, Roseand Bernard standing there hovering over it. Locke has a dumbfounded look on his face ashe looks around for someone to explain it to him. He sees Harper.

Locke:

Harper. Tell me, what do you know of this?

Harper

:I, um, have no idea.

Locke

:I am done with the game of you people playing stupid. There is a new sheriff in town and if I sense that anyone is holding anything from me, I won't hesitate to reprimand them.

Harper:

Honestly, John. I got to this island in 1996... which was after Dharma was gone.

Locke:

So, Ben brought new people to the island?

Harper

:John, you have no idea the things that Ben has done or who Ben has brought here.

Locke stands up and proclaims:

Locke

:Does anyone know what is down this hole?

No one answers.

Juliet

:There's only one way to find out John, but without power, I don't recommend it.

Locke looks around and appears to be flustered.

Juliet

:There's a back-up generator that has the ability to power the island for a week.

Locke

:And where is this generator?

Juliet

:The switch is at the barracks. It was located in Ben's house. Is that still there?

Locke

:Yeah. That's still there, but he's not so let's not refer to anything as his.

Juliet notices the pressure Locke is feeling and decides to step forward.

Juliet

:I''ll go.

Locke

:Not alone, you're not. Richard, go with Juliet.

Juliet

:I'd rather go alone than with him... hell, I'd rather go with Harper.Lo

cke ponders this for a second.

Locke

:Fine, go with Harper.

Harper and Juliet just look at each other.

Locke

It would be a good bonding experience for you to work your issues out.

Harper:

Fine. I want a gun though.

Locke

:No need for guns anymore.

Rose

:Locke, we're somewhere pretty cold where polar bears could live....with polar bears on theisland as it is.

Bernard:

I'll go along.

Rose

:Oh -no -you don't!

Locke

:Yeah, let Bernard go with them. I can trust him with a weapon.

Bernard

:We leave in 10 minutes ladies.

Juliet and Harper eye each other up as Rose gives Bernard a dirty look.

(2:00)2) INT.TEMPLE STATION. NIGHT.

Charlotte and Sawyer sit in the corner next to the woman in the chair that was revealed to be Charlotte's mother in 5.2. Charlotte has a look of disbelief on her face as Sawyer looksover at Cindy's dead body.

Charlotte

:I can't believe this. How could my mother be here, on this island?

Sawyer

:You'd beshocked at who's moms and popswind up on this island.

Charlotte gives Sawyer a puzzled look.
