It is spring; yet, we are still waiting for the tu-lips, daffodils and iris to bloom, the geese, rob-ins and other birds to return, and the trees toagain turn green. As I write this, I am looking atsnow falling and trees bending in the wind. It isdiscouraging, after such a long winter, not to have spring, with itswarmth and beauty. The TLE year is coming to a close. I hope that you have not too often been discouraged, and that the new skills you have learned will encourage you to continue with your studies. Iwish you all an enjoyable and restful summer break, and look for-ward to seeing you again in the fall.

I’d like to welcome our two latest tutors toTLE. Congratulations to Warren and J for thecompletion of their Tutor Training and in re-cently being matched with students. Welcome!I’d also like to congratulate Beverly Beauchampfor her outstanding work as a volunteer notonly with us but with other organizations within the community overthe years. TLE has nominated her for the Laval Volunteer Award. Aceremony will be taking place on Tuesday May 1st where the winnerswill be announced. Good luck Beverly!!Well spring is upon us once again… which means we are almost at theend of another school year. Just like last year, we think we’re goingto be moving but we’re not sure where or when exactly! Right now, itlooks like we’ll have to pack everything up in June and our things willbe moved during the summer. Once we get word of the move we willneed volunteers to help us pack. We’ll need extra hands to help out!We are asking students and volunteers to kindly return all booksand resources (except for workbooks) the week of June 18th. This year, TLE will be closing for the summer once we start packing or onJune 22nd (whichever comes first!). If we have to pack and move,TLE will not be accessible to members in the summer for tutorials. If you and your tutor/student are interested in continuing over thesummer holidays please call the office for information or we canassist in arranging your tutorial to take place at the local library.
