A cab driver followed the hit and run vehicle and obtained a license number of CO 895VYF. During the course of this investigation the registered owner of the pick up provided information that led to a party currently in possession of the vehicle. That party, who identified herself on the phone as Brenda Selazar, told Detective Koberick #01054 that she was in possession of the pick up truck but that she was not going to tum it over to him, ‘On 01-25-11 a Crime Stoppers tip was received that the hit and nun vehicle was hidden behind a house in Commerce City. One of the residents, witness Renjel, stated that she know Brenda but calls her Paola. Renjel also indicated that Paola’s real name is Norma. ‘The two days after the collision, 01-23-11 and 01-24-11, Paola had told Renjel that she had left a club ‘on Saturday night and hit something on Lincoln. When she saw the news coverage of the collision and the pick up in the videos she realized it was probably her that had killed the pedestrian. Both Montes- Garcia and Renjel have told Norma to turn herself in, Norma has stopped taking their calls after making comments that she was going to go to Mexico.
