Tis course designed or visual arts teachers who are teaching entry and/or advanced level photography courses in ahigh school setting, and can also be benecial or teachers across all programs o study who are interested in incorpo-rating digital camera technologies into their classroom and curriculum. eachers will ocus on inormation and skills toacilitate the artistic development o students’ digital photography abilities that will create a strong oundation or up-per level courses and the creation o a photography portolio in preparation or the AP Studio Art: 2D Design Exam.eachers will develop prociency with the operation o digital camera, composition, camera controls, exposure, lighting,le management, visual journaling and basic image enhancement. Participants will learn the basics o Adobe Photo-shop while manipulating digital images and how to structure lessons in such a way as to acilitate the development o the beginning students’ abilities and condence as they develop a digital photography portolio. Tis course is based onthe High School Photography curricula which are aligned with the HCPSS Photography Course Objectives based onthe Maryland Essential Learner Outcomes or the Visual Arts and National Arts Standards.Shooting source images or class (digitally)Create a Flickr account and utilize the group pool (http://www.fickr.com/groups/hcpssphoto/)Utilize the Blog (http://hcpssphoto.blogspot.com/) or a reerence or the shooting problems.Ask questions. I cannot help you unless I know what you need.Digital Camera (I have some, but its best i you use your own or your schools)Sketchbook / NotebookMedia to backup your work (thumbdrive / backup hard drive / ipod etc.)
