In January 2009 I was diagnosed with anxiety after suffering what later turned out to be a stressinduced panic attack, and I continued to struggle with anxiety and panic attacks for the following 18months. Whilst I rarely now get panic attacks I do suffer from minor anxiety disorder. This however,in many ways has been an eye-opening positive for me, as I have learnt now, what level of determination to expect from myself, but also others. It has also taught me the importance of beingopen and honest about a wide variety of issues, not least mental health issues. Prior to this illness mysickness record had been exemplary having taken just 4 days off work sick in the prior fifteen years.
