Safety Precautions
This lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within anequilateral triangle is intended to alert the user tothe presence of uninsulated dangerous voltagewithin the product’s enclosure that may be ofsufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electricshock to persons.The exclamation mark within an equilateral triangleis intended to alert the user to the presence ofimportant operating and maintenance (servicing)instructions in the literature accompanying theproduct.

This DVD & Hi-Fi VCR Home Theatre employs a LaserSystem.To ensure proper use of this product, please read this instruc-tion manual carefully and retain it for future reference. Shouldthe unit require maintenance, contact an authorized servicelocation-see service procedure.Use of controls, adjustments or the performance of proceduresother than those specified herein may result in hazardousradiation exposure.To prevent direct exposure to laser beam, do not try to openthe enclosure. Visible laser radiation when open. DO NOTSTARE INTO BEAM.
CAUTION:
The apparatus shall not be exposed to water,dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such asvases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

Do not put your hand or other objects in thecassette compartmentbecause of the risk of injury or an acci-dent. Keep small children away from the unit.
Beware of moisture condensation
Moisture in the air will condense on the DVD & Hi-Fi VCRHome Theatre when you move it from a cold place to a warmplace, or under extremely humid conditions — just as waterdroplets form on the surface of a glass filled with cold liquid.Moisture condensation on the head drum will cause damage tothe tape. In conditions where condensation may occur, keepthe DVD & Hi-Fi VCR Home Theatre’s power turned on for afew hours to let the moisture dry.The system is not completely disconnected from the mainsunless it is unplugged from the AC outlet.This set complies with the EMC Directive 89/336 and with theLVD Directive 73/23.

Used batteries:The batteries in the remote control of yourDVD & Hi-Fi VCR Home Theatre do not con-tain mercury. However, SANYO recommendsthat you do not dispose of used batteries withdomestic refuse. Please, contact your dealer or yourlocal authorities for information regarding the disposalof used batteries or take them to your nearest collectionpoint.

This unit operates on a mains supply of 230V~,50Hz
.
This appliance is supplied with BS 1363 approved13 Amp fused mains plug. When replacing the fuse alwaysuse a 5 Amp BS 1362 approved type.Never use this plug with the fuse cover omitted.To obtain a replacement fuse cover contact yoursupplying dealer.If the mains sockets in your home differ, or are not suitablefor the type of plug supplied, then the plug should beremoved and a suitable type fitted.If the mains plug becomes severed from the mains lead itmust be destroyed. Amains plug with bared wires is haz-ardous if engaged in a mains output line socket.If a 13 Amp BS 1363 plug is not suitable or anyother type of plug used, then this appliance must beprotected by a 5 Amp fuse.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with thefollowing codes
