This ancillary task is effective because it coincides with our main production.

I completed
this on Adobe Photo Shop CS3, my plan was to produce a basic story board on a film strip. I
used different pictures edited within different styles to get a better outcome.

Using Adobe Photo Shop CS3 I produced the opening

scene to our main production. This made our production
almost come to life as we could imagine our self sitting
in the cinema watching out production.
I believe this helped in the development of my main
production of ‘Beneath the Bruises’.

Other magazines to develop our Bruises’ I produced this to try and make our
ideas and bring out the best in our production come to life once again. I researched other
poster. If I was to alter this magazine DVD covers to gather a wider range of ideas, We
I would change the colour scheme to believe this is our best ancillary task as it really
something slightly darker . stands out.
Conventions
•In a typical fight film the hero will always wins but in are
production it goes against those codes and conventions
because at the end the hero doesn’t wins
•In basic fighting films there are typical mixed and
rehearsed fighting moves but in are production it is based
on typical bullying that happens in an average school
environment.
•In an average film the areas/ locations are picked to be
dark and desolate for a fight were as are locations were
based on school environment.
•Are production goes against every codes and conventions
of a typical fighting film because of the locations the
fighting scenes and all of the props that we have used.
Audience feedback
To retrieve audience feedback we decided to create a
small questionnaire, that had open and closed
questions to get feedback on what the audience truly
felt after watching our trailer
Questionnaire, questions
Did you enjoy the teaser trailer?
Did you clearly understand what the genre of the
trailer was, if so what was the genre of the trailer?
Was it to long, was there to much information to
take in?
Did the trailer portray a story as well as action?
Did you find the trailer exiting?
Feedback
The feedback that I got was that everybody agreed that the
trailer was enjoyable. Also everybody understood that the
genre was about bullying and a general fight film. Also all
viewers agreed that it was not to long and that there was
enough information , also that the information was well
balanced and there was not more action than story and visa
versa. Some viewers believed that the trailer was not
exciting and could off had more of a rush to it. People
answered that if they could improve on the trailer than the
one thing they would improve on would be the story line,
they would put more enthuses on the story line.
How our group used new
•In the
media technoligies
•Construction
•Research
•planning
•And
•evaluation stages
Construction
The main software we used was final cut express
which is an advanced film editing tool that I personally
had never used before but after a few days it became
easy and better than I movie.

Also for our axiology task we used Photoshop pro to

make the DVD cover and over images. Which is a
difficult program to use .
Research

For our research we used the internet to try and find

out what the key codes and conventions of a typical
action film trailer and decide on how we as a group
can bend them to produce an original product.

We also used the internet to analyse other trailers and

see how we can make ours unique.
Planning
Unlike other productions, we made an animatic by
taking still shots of scenes that we thought
represented our film
After we used Photoshop to edit the images to make
them look like drawings
evaluation
For the evaluation we decided to put it on a
presentation and then post it on our blogs that also
contain our embedded videos and images
