“The Pain and the Gain”

The journey we take in this life we live

Is the key to the hidden treasures we look in the end
Whatever there may be, whatever lies ahead
Nobody had the chance to know whatever it could give.

Everyone is aiming certain goals in life

Dreams and ambitions, these we cannot hide
We may be silent about everything we try
But somehow we cannot let things just be denied.

We aim for the best and let God do the rest

We pray for assistance, we hope for every quest
But then we cannot have all the things that we wish
And if there’s gain, there’s always pain, this I surely bet.

Sometimes I just wonder why it have to be

A “no pain, no glory”, hardships, along the way.
Why can’t we just have the dreams without the pain
And have all the pleasures to enjoy whatever we can gain.

Is it really a must that we should always take

The hardships and heartaches before we can make it?
I don’t really understand why it has to be that way
And the worst??? Sometimes, we can’t bear the pains and grief.

What I understand, is just simple as it is

“No pain, no gain or no guts, no glory”
And yes, I sometimes laugh when I think about it
Wow!!! What a world we have, this I can’t believe.

Anyway, there’s nothing we can do otherwise

But to live the life we choose, and pause a bit sometimes
The destiny ahead depends on what we left behind
And what you reap is what you get, you must bear in mind.

A gain without a pain can be blown by the wind

And a pain without a gain cannot be forgotten
Struggles and efforts and tough undertakings
Are things we cannot bear for a pain without a gain.
