This is an amazingTV!!! If you're browsingfor something cheaper and smaller than a 50"but you want to makesure it has all theconnections and is of thehighest quality then thisis the TV for you! Meand my wife spent till2am watching it in owe(we usually go to bedaround 11pm!) Nowords can do this TV justice, it's probably the best 47"available, i've been browsing for months and this is thebest price for the best quality :) Only problem is that itfeels like you're actually there on the set it looks thatrealistic! Oh, get yourself a good blu-ray player too!Thank you amazon, the delivery was on time and therewas no damage, not even to the packaging!
I bought this TV as an upgrade to my old 37" LCD 720pVizio.I went with this LG because of its IPS panel, respectablebrand name, 1080p @ 120Hz capability, good reviews,and its 2.4ms response. I use it with Fios HD, myPanasonic HTPC BluRay and Xbox360.This TV's numbers looked good on paper; so I went mylocal BB and looked at it in store before purchasing on-line as I always do. It looked as great as the other medium-to-high quality major brand names. (Samsung,Sony, etc.) Obviously they all looked better than store-brands and no-name brands. (Insignia, Phillips-Funai,Westinghouse, etc.)So after doing my homework, I took the plunge and Iordered it.It arrived a week later and I headed over toAVSforums.com for the best expert custom settings touse. After some picture tweaking and menu familiarizingI was up and running. I have been very pleased thus far,
this set has a very nice picture from all angles. Especiallywith the IPS panel.I won't go over specifications or menu/picure options.That info can be easily looked up on LG's website.Pro's-Great picture. Good black levels, good colors, Screenhandles all signals correctly.-No Banding, flashlighting, or major artifacts in HD or SD content! Impressive picture uniformity!-Semi-gloss screen better than matte finish for black levels and not as reflective/glossy as Plasma's. Again I'mvery pleased with the screen finish and IPS panel.Perform's well in bright/sunny rooms.-Menu's easy to navigate and understand.-Literature easy to read and understand.-Remote control well designed with large easy to readbuttons-Case design very sleek and stylish.-"Energy Saver" button right on remote good for quick backlight adjustment for Day/Night viewing.
